Welcome to Day 28,
The Strength of Stillness.
Begin by feeling at home where you are right now.
At home with the sounds and sights around you.
Shift your posture to a comfortable,
Awake position.
And with closed eyes shift your awareness inside to your breath.
Follow the stream of air as you inhale and exhale.
Let your thoughts and feelings fly by in the space of your mind and heart.
Keep releasing your thoughts carefully.
Follow the circle of your breath.
Let the mirror of your breath become clear.
Oh,
This is so boring.
Nothing is happening.
There must be something better I can do with my time than just sitting here.
I probably had this thought over 10,
000 times on my journey.
And nothing could be crazier.
Because when you really follow your breath,
Feel your breath,
You are making a journey that has no boredom.
Every moment is full of events,
Actions,
Sensations,
Changes.
And when you tap into this,
Which is deeper than even the breath,
Deeper than the mind,
This inside of you,
Which knows,
This inside of you,
Which creates your experience,
Then you are tapping into the great stillness.
All the movements in your body,
All the dancing thoughts and feelings,
They all create your revolt around this great stillness.
Just like the earth is spinning around its own center.
Or how the earth is flying around the sun.
Or how the sun is moving around the center of the galaxy.
You are constantly moving around the center of your being.
So why not go home for a while and rest?
Come home to your center.
And you know the way you always have.
It's like the ocean.
Despite all the waves and storms at the surface,
Deep down,
Deep inside,
There is an endless warm stillness.
When you live from this stillness,
When you connect with this great stillness in meetings with others,
You are giving them and yourself something incredible.
