Pressing play is where to start.
Hello and welcome,
My name is Patrick Christopher Eller and I will lead you through this journaling exercise.
This practice is for cognitive flexibility or cognitive agility.
Please press pause and prepare a pen and a paper to write.
Before we start this practice,
I would like you to take a moment and fully arrive within yourself.
If it's helpful,
Use your breath as an anchor to deepen presence.
Before starting this practice,
Take the right hand and put it on your chest and send some wishes.
May I be honest?
May I be kind?
May I be generous?
May I be fierce?
May I go deep?
May I be compassionate?
Feel how those wishes expand from your hand into every cell of your being.
And if you're ready,
Let's start.
Try to bring curiosity and kindness towards this practice.
I will give you a sentence and with each sentence note a couple of words or a sentence that shows up for you.
Be curious and try to build compassion for the upcoming experiences.
If you have anxiety for being alone,
Find where you choose to be alone.
Take your pen and paper and write down moments.
One moment where you have anxiety to be alone.
And one moment where you choose to be alone.
Write down a moment where you have anxiety of being alone.
Where you choose to be alone.
Press pause.
If you have fear of not being loved,
Find where you don't love.
Write down a moment where you have fear of not being loved and write down one moment where you don't love.
Press pause.
If you have anger for not being respected,
Find where you don't respect.
Write down a moment where you have anger for not being respected.
And write down a moment where you don't respect.
Press pause.
If you get upset because others treat you bad,
Find where you treat others bad.
Find a moment where you are upset because others treat you bad and write it down.
And find a moment where you treat others bad and write it down.
Press pause.
Find where you feel hate of people who hurt other people or entities.
And find where you hurt other people or entities.
Write about a moment where you have hate of people who hurt other people or entities.
And write down one moment where you hurt other people and entities.
Press pause.
Excellent.
Almost five minutes.
We are here already together.
Thanks for your open heart and your open mind.
This is a deep practice.
And as you might have noticed,
It takes courage to write it down,
To go deep.
It also takes the willingness to not impress oneself,
But really go deep.
Like Bruce Lee may have said one day,
To express yourself in freedom,
You must die to everything of yesterday.
From the old you,
Derive security.
From the new you,
Gain the flow.
Thank you so much for participating.
