Hello,
This is Paige with a meditation to help you set an intention.
Let's find a comfortable seat with your spine upright and your neck straight.
Settle,
Relax,
Close your eyes and notice how you're sitting.
Are you leaning forward like you're expecting something to happen or sitting back maybe a little tired or apprehensive?
Do your best to center yourself aligning the crown of your head over your pelvis and begin to notice what's present for you right now.
Observing with kindness and without judgment,
Notice how you're feeling in your body.
What's your energy level?
Is it heavy or light,
Fast or slow?
What is the quality of your breath?
Is it deep and relaxed or more shallow and anxious?
What thoughts are arising for you?
What emotions are present?
Noticing again not judging and knowing what's happening right now so that we can move with awareness from here.
Let's start to take some deeper breaths.
Lengthen your inhale,
Extend your exhale and as you do so,
Relax.
Take a few more rounds of breath just like this with longer inhales and extended exhales and we'll bring to mind some loved ones who have inspired you.
Think of as many people as you like who've helped you in some way.
They could be family members,
Friends,
Mentors.
They can be people you don't know personally but who've inspired you.
Historical figures,
Authors,
People who are no longer in your life.
See everyone as clearly as you can.
Picture their faces and if you'd like,
You can imagine that they're sitting in front of you wishing for the best for you.
Let yourself feel their support.
Take it in and let them stay with you if you like as we set some intentions for ourselves.
So as you see yourself sitting with these supportive,
Inspiring people,
Let's bring to mind a positive quality that you would like more of in your life.
It could be anything.
It could be a wish for abundance of some sort,
More success with your business,
More love in your life,
More friendships,
More connections.
It can be anything.
Your desires are okay and once you've identified that intention,
That intention,
That positive quality,
Take an inhale and as you breathe in,
Hold on to and name this intention for yourself and as you exhale,
Imagine yourself experiencing that positive quality as if it already exists.
What would that look like for you?
Who would be with you?
Where would you be?
So again,
As you breathe in,
Hold on to that positive quality in your mind's eye and breathe out.
See yourself as if your desires are already fulfilled.
If you can't think of a way,
It's okay.
Just hold on to your own best intentions for yourself.
Take a nice deep breath in.
Gently fill the lungs as much as you can,
Feeling that positive intention and when you finish,
Hold the breath just for a second.
Prepare for the exhalation and let go.
Breathe out gently.
Try to empty the lungs as you feel that intention come to life.
Take a few more rounds just like this and if you get lost in thought,
It's okay.
Just come back to the practice.
Feel the support of the people around you.
Take another round.
Let the positive intention fill you.
Imagine the loved ones around you supporting you as you claim your abundance and exhaling,
Imagining your life as if this intention were already there.
Start to let go of this practice but do your best to hold on to your intention.
If you'd like,
You can bring your right hand onto your heart center and your left hand on top of that.
Breathe in,
Fill yourself with that quality and hang onto it as you exhale gently,
Completely relaxing into it,
Cherishing the support of the inspiring people around you,
Keeping that with you.
And in your own time,
Whenever you feel comfortable,
You can slowly open your eyes.
It's taking some time to return to your day.
Remembering that you can call upon this technique at any time.
You can imagine the loved ones sending you support,
Filling you with inspiration.
Thank you for meditating with me and I wish you all the best.
