This is Padma Gordon,
And I am inspired to offer you something from my heart to sustain you during this very challenging time,
A time unlike any I have seen in my lifetime.
In most of us,
At least here in California and many parts of our country and many parts of the world,
We are sheltering in place.
And what I would like to offer you is the possibility to shelter in love.
Shelter in love.
This is a huge wake-up call,
A huge wake-up call for humanity.
It is an invitation to live with an open heart and embrace the vulnerability of the moment.
And it's a big ask.
I realize it's a big ask for everyone,
Myself included.
And yet,
This is what's here.
This is what we are being invited into as a world community,
As a species.
So I want to offer you this meditation,
This invitation to shelter in love.
Shelter in the vastness of love.
Because love can handle this.
The one who is concerned,
The one who is afraid,
The one who is struggling or feeling alone,
That one is not the one who can handle it.
Love.
Let love be in charge.
Let love be in charge.
So with that,
I invite you to take some deep breaths and get settled in.
Close your eyes.
Close your eyes.
And let us meditate together as a world community.
Let us shelter in love.
Let us shelter in love one breath at a time.
So my dear ones,
My sweet friends,
Beautiful community of meditators around the world,
Let us breathe this breath.
Each breath is a gift.
Let yourself relax.
Let yourself relax and drop down,
Down and down.
That's right.
You know the way.
And your breath takes you there.
Takes you down into the heart of love.
Into the heart of love.
Where you can shelter.
Take refuge in love.
Breathing with ease into the space of your heart,
Your beautiful heart.
Your beautiful heart is the gateway to infinite love.
Letting the body soften as you rest into your heart and into this field of love.
Love guide you through these trying times,
Through the moments when fear may rear its head.
Through the moments when waves of grief move through.
Let them move.
Let them move.
Let them open you deeper and deeper to love.
And anytime you feel a contraction or your mind wants to worry,
Just take a breath.
Feel your heart.
Walk through the gateway into love.
And shelter,
Shelter there.
Rest your mind.
Let your body rest.
Take some full breaths.
Let your nervous system unwind.
Pause from the news.
Let yourself rest,
My friends.
Rest into your beautiful hearts.
I know for myself,
I am taking many moments to rest into love.
Love holds everything.
Everything.
Every little thing and every big thing.
You can trust love.
Trust love.
And let's just pause here and shelter in love,
Feeling how you're held.
I'm here with you.
I'm here with you.
And so many beautiful beings are meditating with you right now.
As you shelter in love,
Resting deeper and deeper.
You are held.
You are held in love.
You are not alone,
Dear one.
You are not alone.
We are together in this.
Together in love.
Yes,
Notice.
Notice how your body responds.
As you shelter in love.
Notice if there is some relief,
Some ease,
Some flicker of grace.
Some rays of light peeking through the clouds.
And feel the tone.
The resonant tone of love that is echoing through your body and through your whole being.
Let it permeate every cell,
Every cell and fiber of your body and being.
Allow it to nourish and sustain you.
Take a nice full breath and beginning to bring yourself back into the room.
Bowing,
Bowing ever more deeply into love,
Into the sacred,
Sacred shelter of love.
Love has you,
Truly love has you.
So I thank you so much for taking this time to meditate in community,
To pause and to shelter in love.
This is available to you in any moment.
And please know that we,
This human family,
We are walking through this together.
You are not alone.
