The mind train,
Trust and feeling worthy.
Welcome to this meditation.
Please make yourself comfortable.
Relax.
Let us take a few deep breaths.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Breathe deeply.
Close your eyes if you wish and slowly come into presence.
Relax.
Breathe in calm.
Breathe out serenity.
Bring your attention to divine presence and attend the here and now.
Imagine you set your mind in a certain train station.
Each train arrives to different stations of emotions.
You're at the station and you look around to see what trains are available.
Without pausing to choose wisely,
You didn't pause to look at the itinerary of trains leading to peace and clarity.
Maybe you hastily boarded the first train you saw.
After a while,
You realize that the train you boarded without really choosing was not the train you wished to take,
But rather the train leading to disappointment.
This train travels at great speed and as you look out the window,
You see it going through the landscapes of past failures,
Low self-esteem,
Doubt,
Anger,
Fear.
You let these images pass without grasping or pushing them away,
But rather become more and more aware of the trajectory it has taken and pause.
Pause to realize that you want to make a new choice and in the very next station,
You're free to get off and choose another mind train,
Another direction with a new awareness of your thoughts.
Each train represents a path of thought you can choose,
A fearless path,
A loving path,
A path of compassion.
Each train arrives to different stations of emotions and you can choose the emotion you wish to feel.
So as you get off this train,
You turn around and with full awareness of thought and with clarity of emotion,
You approach the peaceful train of presence.
This train's ride is smooth and quiet,
Gentle and pleasant.
You breathe deeply and you relax and enjoy the ride with a deep inner smile.
You keep breathing deeply and as you gaze out the window,
You enjoy the beautiful view.
You feel calm,
Confident,
Secure,
Serene,
Joyful and centered.
You breathe deeply and you become more and more aware of the growing peace within you and without you.
Your inner peace matches your outer calm.
Right now,
You are here.
Right now,
You breathe and are aware.
You breathe in peace.
You breathe out joy.
You are more and more present with each moment,
More and more aware and filled with a new sense of appreciation for the miracle that is life,
For your inner nature,
For the amazing life in outer landscapes,
The love you feel for yourself and for your fellow living creatures.
The miracle of being alive,
Healthy,
Free and happy.
You breathe in and breathe out.
The train reaches the highest snow-capped mountains with a spectacular view.
You breathe in the clean,
Crisp mountain air.
You breathe out any feelings of loss or despair and breathe in a sense of loving kindness and joy.
The train passes through green pastures and flowered fields of dazzling colors and scents.
It crosses a tall,
Tall bridge spanning a clean,
Flowing river and finally arrives at a new station.
It stops in a place called today.
You pause.
You stretch your limbs,
Your muscles,
Your joints,
Your bones,
Your heart and soul.
You breathe in happy and grateful for your journey in the knowledge that it is the journey and not so much the destination you enjoy.
You have reached a lovely,
Peaceful station.
Now slowly,
Without letting go of this peaceful sensation,
You start to move your feet and hands.
Slowly you come back into your body and to the life surrounding you in this eternal instant.
You look all around you and take it all in.
You listen to the sounds of life around you right now and inside you in this very space,
You can smile contentedly.
You smile with your eyes.
You smile with your breath,
With your face and all your heart.
Here and now,
Fully accept your joy and peace,
Aware that you always have a choice.
No matter what is happening around you,
Today I choose joy.
Today I choose love.
Today I choose calm.
I choose to love and be loved and to be.
Just to be.
Be yourself today.
