Hello and welcome to this meditation practice.
This practice today is based upon breath work,
Working with a full,
Full breath.
If you don't know what a full breath is,
Don't worry we will cover this during this meditation practice.
So like always,
Wherever you are,
Whatever you're doing,
Just take a moment,
Find that comfortable position,
Whether that be seated,
Maybe you lay down,
Or maybe you are sat on a chair with your feet grounded.
Just take a moment to settle.
Settling the body physically,
Making any mindful movements,
Feeling into this moment and noticing where you are.
Taking a moment mentally,
Maybe noticing what's going on up there,
And just being thankful for turning up and turning up.
Reminding yourself that this is your time.
Your time to work with the breath,
Your time to breathe and to be.
To invite you wherever you are to place your hands or hand on the bottom of your rib cage.
And you should be able to feel the base of your rib cage,
The base of your ribs underneath your palm.
Once you're comfortable here,
Just begin to breathe in and out normally.
Noticing your breath,
Noticing those natural inhalations and exhalations.
How does this make you feel?
How do they feel as you inhale?
How does it feel as you exhale?
And just noticing a little bit deeper now,
Asking yourself is your breath fast or slow?
Maybe it's deep or maybe it's shallow.
Accepting your breath for how it is in this moment as we begin to take control.
We're going to try and even out the breaths.
Even out the inhale and even out the exhale.
And to do this we will inhale for four,
Exhaling for four.
So when you're ready,
Inhaling for one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Exhaling one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Inhaling one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Exhaling one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Inhaling for one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale for one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Inhale for one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale for one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Just working with this breath,
Working with this count,
Counting evenly,
Counting slowly,
Working with that breath,
Deepening,
Deepening that breath and that connection.
Inhaling for one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Exhaling one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Working with this practice,
Working with this breath,
When all things feel out of control,
Connecting with our life force,
Feeling into where we are and knowing that we can regulate our breath.
Our breath is there for us whenever we need it.
Inhaling one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Exhaling four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Inhaling for one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Exhaling for four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Whenever you're ready,
Maybe you continue this practice,
Maybe you continue this breath work,
Maybe you take a moment to pause,
Just finishing around your on,
Letting go of the count and just pausing,
Noticing how that breath feels now,
Being grateful for sharing this practice with me,
Being grateful for taking that time for yourself.
Whenever you're ready,
Just begin to wiggle those fingers and your toes,
Remembering you can always come back to your life force,
Your breath.
Thank you for practicing with me today,
Sending you all the love and light you may need.
Namaste.
