Welcome to today's meditation practice.
Today's practice is based upon the meditation series.
The Boy,
The Mole,
The Fox and The Horse written by the author Charley Magasi.
An amazing author and illustrator.
So wherever you are and whatever you're doing find your comfortable position.
Find somewhere you can rest.
Somewhere you are comfortable.
Somewhere you can't be disturbed.
Closing off the eyes or taking that gaze down to a focal point.
Noticing the weight of your body on the earth.
Noticing that connection.
Noticing any aches or pains within the body.
Feeling into the breath.
Where is the breath traveling to?
Maybe the chest.
Maybe the belly.
Maybe it's short and sharp.
Maybe it's deep and slow.
Noticing the natural rhythm of the body of the breath.
Just being mindful of the busyness of the mind right now.
Noticing if there's any thoughts,
Distractions the mind might be pulling you away from or to.
And just being aware,
Observing what's happening for you right now.
There may be a lot going on.
There may be a lot of busyness or chaos in your mind or in the world right now.
And just know that is okay.
You are okay.
You are enough.
Know that you are enough now and you are enough whenever.
So invite you to take a deep inhale.
Exhaling completely.
Inhaling.
Exhaling completely.
Inhaling.
Exhaling.
Inhaling.
And exhaling.
And exhaling.
Being present with that breath.
Observing those deep inhalations and deep exhalations.
Working with that breath,
Continuing those deep inhales and exhales.
Just bringing the mind's awareness to the quote that follows.
One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things.
And this is an important reminder to our minds and our bodies and our souls that no matter what's happening right now for us,
No matter what situation we're put in,
We are not going to be able to be in the same place.
We are not going to be able to be in the same place.
No matter what situation we're put in,
No matter if we feel out of control,
The one thing we do have control over is how we choose to react.
How we choose to react to a situation,
A thought,
A conversation.
We have control over our own actions,
Our own words.
So no matter how much chaos or how much busyness there is in our minds or our thoughts,
By taking this time and looking,
Exploring a little bit deeper,
We are able to control,
Finding that gap,
To pause,
To be,
And to approach things differently.
Remember,
One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things.
Taking a deep inhale here.
Exhaling completely.
Inhaling.
Inhaling.
And exhaling.
Thank you for practicing with me today.
Whenever you're ready,
Just begin to wiggle your fingers and your toes,
Gently fluttering open the eyelids or lifting that gaze,
Sending you all my love and love.
Namaste.
