What do you value most about community?
What's an area of your life that's feeling really difficult right now or could use a little more support?
And how could community benefit it?
Let's go into the benefits of a community.
Number one,
It gives us a sense of belonging.
It reduces any kind of isolation or feeling like we have to do everything alone.
We also get emotional support during these struggles and challenges that are inevitable in our lives.
Through shared experiences,
We're building trust.
We're deepening our connections,
Which is allowing for more honest,
More vulnerable conversations because we feel safe.
The community also gives us collective care because it's lightening our individual burdens.
We're also having a sense of diverse perspectives because community has all different types of people from different walks of life,
Different histories,
And so therefore it's sparking growth,
It's sparking empathy and different ways about living life.
Communities can also help us advocate for change more powerfully.
They provide practical help like meals,
Rides,
Childcare,
Helping us run our errands.
And strong communities create resilience for everyone because we can lean on one another and we don't have to do everything alone.
What do you value most about community and how can we open up to developing our communities today?
