As you settle into a comfortable seated position,
Hands on your knees,
Allow for your eyes to close.
And as your eyes close,
Picture your gaze,
Your energy,
Rotating inward to face your spine.
Create a little shell here,
Closing yourself off from all the noise and disruption.
Deepen and lengthen your breath,
Noticing how the deeper your inhales are,
And the longer your exhales go,
The more and more relaxed you become.
With your inhales,
Amplify this calm,
Relaxing energy.
And with your exhales,
Trace them all the way down your body,
Out your tailbone,
Grounding you to the earth.
Inhale to amplify the energy,
And exhale to trace it all the way down your body,
Out your tailbone,
Tethering you to the earth.
One more time,
Inhaling big to amplify the energy,
Exhaling to trace it all the way down,
Out your tailbone,
Tethering you to the earth.
Great work.
As you return your breathing to normal,
Reach your fingertips out to touch the ground or space you're sitting on.
If you're sitting in a chair,
Simply touch the material of the chair.
And take time here to pour all of your awareness into this action,
As if your fingertips are gathering information and sending small branches of roots from your fingertips.
Now lay your palms flat on the surface,
Creating a sense of stability here through the arms like tree trunks.
Tap into the energy of a tree here,
One that is sturdy,
Stretching tall,
And part of a forest.
Maybe you can breathe in the forest air.
Maybe you can get a sense of cleaning the air around you,
That every exhale from your body is fresh oxygen for other creatures to enjoy.
Maybe you even get a sense of the sun coming down to greet you,
Sending waves of relaxation through its golden light rays that comb through your leaves and massage into the bark of you.
A part of you gets a sense of just how important the sun is for you and the critical role it plays in your photosynthesis.
How easy it is to melt in bliss under the positive effects of these calming rays,
That it pours in vibrance,
Recovering and regulating your functioning.
And these waves of relaxation calm and soothe your branches,
The trunk at your base,
Soaking down into the roots of you.
Here beneath the soil,
You can sense how your roots are intertwined with the roots of countless other trees in this forest.
As you all stand firm and sturdy,
Roots interlocked,
A network of strength and protection for this forest.
The further your roots reach down into the soil,
The longer your great branches stretch out above you.
Creating the perfect canopy for all the creatures of the forest.
Take a deep breath in,
Noticing what you notice.
In just a moment,
I'll state some powerful and positive affirmations that naturally enrich your reality.
You can repeat these affirmations silently or aloud,
Sensing how they double in their resonance.
I am rooted in this present moment,
Grounded,
Stable and sturdy.
I am deeply connected and draw strength from the ground up.
The more I connect,
The more nourished I become.
My mind is clear,
My breathing regulated and my energy centered.
When my body needs to,
I allow it time to fully recover.
I gently restore equilibrium and enjoy the harmony within me.
No matter the storm,
My roots are deep,
Secure and unwavering.
I navigate through life from this place of balance,
Clarity and centeredness.
