Hello and welcome to this evening gratitude reflection.
Today we'll close the day with a bit of awareness and appreciation.
So whenever you're ready find a comfortable position.
This might be sitting or it might be lying down.
And once you've found it allow your body to settle naturally.
Without needing to adjust too much.
Just arriving at you are at the end of this day.
Gently close your eyes or soften your gaze and begin by noticing your breath.
Just noticing,
Not changing,
Not deepening.
Just recognizing that it's already there.
Moving in and out.
Carrying you from one moment to the next.
And take a slightly deeper inhale through the nose.
And a slow exhale through your mouth.
And now let the breath return to its natural rhythm.
Bring your awareness to the fact that this day is complete.
That it was probably not perfect,
Probably not fully resolved.
Not everything was done or said in the way that you might have wanted.
But it's complete in the sense that it has unfolded.
And you have moved through it in the only way you could.
With what you had in those moments.
And often when we reach the end of the day the mind goes straight to what is missing,
What wasn't done,
What could have been better.
But tonight we are shifting that pattern.
We can do this by intentionally recognizing what was there.
So I invite you to bring to mind one simple moment from your day.
That doesn't have to be the most impressive or the most productive.
Just a moment that felt real.
Could have been a conversation,
A feeling,
Small pause,
A walk.
A breath of fresh air.
And as you recall it,
Notice what made that moment meaningful.
Allow yourself to feel it again.
To feel it in the body.
Now bring your mind to something you handled today.
Something that required your energy,
Your attention,
Your presence.
It may not have gone perfectly but you showed up.
So rather than analyzing it,
Recognize that you moved through it.
That you were there.
That you participated in your own life.
And just let that land for a moment.
And now bring awareness to something you often overlook.
Something that supported you today without asking for recognition.
How your body carried you.
How your breath stayed steady and constant.
Or simply the fact that you had what you needed to get through the day.
Notice what happens when you acknowledge that support.
As you sit here,
Allow the day to soften behind you.
And take a moment to realize that there is nothing left to complete.
I hope you have a beautiful evening.
Namaste.
