This is Gina.
There are seven major chakras,
Commonly acknowledged,
Each one associated with a vital area of the body.
Chakra means wheel in Sanskrit,
And these wheels are in motion,
Spinning,
Directing us toward a healthy life.
Each one has its own attributes,
Which can be used to focus and aid healing.
In this chakra system,
Svadhisthana is our second chakra as we travel from root to head.
It is associated with the sacral area,
The color orange,
Our sense of taste,
The element of water.
It relates to creativity,
Playfulness,
Sexuality,
Pleasure,
Connection to self and others,
And to the inner child.
When it is out of balance,
One might experience lack of pleasure and creativity,
Low libido,
Compulsiveness.
Sit,
If possible,
With your spine erect and place your hands on the sacral area just below the navel.
And now breathe.
Sense your inhalation moving right down into the sacral area just below your navel into Svadhisthana.
As you breathe into this space,
Work to release the muscles in that area.
Release the need to hold in your navel and breathe freely without tension or hesitation.
As you exhale,
Feel the muscles there relaxing and letting go.
In your mind's eye,
Create an image right in this second chakra.
Imagine a spinning shape,
Perhaps a playful pinwheel or a sphere or ball of glowing energy and power.
Find the picture that feels resonant.
Sense it's turning,
Spinning,
Moving and glowing.
The element of the sacral chakra is water.
Let's consider ourselves with and in the flow of water.
Imagine a bright orange setting sun just above your head,
Illuminating all around you.
Allow the beautiful glow and warmth to descend on your entire being.
Now allow the rays of that sun,
That energy to flow down into and through the crown of your head.
Straight down through your head and down your spine.
As it moves down,
Let it flood your sacral chakra and come right back up the front of your body.
This will create a cycle of energy flow.
Let it continue to flow in from your crown,
Down the back,
Along your spine and up the front of your body.
There is no need to release it out.
Allow it to cycle,
Increasing its power and intensity as it energizes Svadisthana.
Feel,
Sense and see this orange energy flow down through the crown,
Pouring into Svadisthana and circling back up.
Because the chakra is associated with manifesting so many things that are important for our physical and emotional cells,
I will make some suggestions,
Some affirmations.
Please allow them to flow with the energy that is moving through your body.
And if one or two resonate,
Hold on to them.
If they don't have meaning or connection,
Let them go.
But work to strengthen and honor Svadisthana on the road to balancing all of the chakras toward peace.

Let's keep the focus on our second chakra,
Maintaining the flow of bright energy within.
Sense the spin of a healthy chakra.
Our meditation will continue and include the flow of reiki energy toward balancing our chakra system.
If able,
Bring your palms together and place the thumbs against your heart center in a prayer position.
Allow and acknowledge an openness to accept the flow of positive reiki energy.
Release your hands down from your heart if you wish and sit quietly with svaadisthana and the movement of energy within.

When you feel prepared,
Send a deep breath into your sacral chakra once or twice,
Relaxing your muscles and sensing balance and peace.
Touch and move as you need to and take your time releasing the meditation and moving on with your day.
