We are the same,
You and I.
We find ourselves on a journey called life.
A timeline that runs from left to right across a page.
And we have no idea how long that timeline will last.
Ten years.
Fifty years.
Perhaps one hundred years.
On our journey we will experience highs.
Moments of joy and satisfaction.
And also be tested by lows.
Often situations created outside of our control.
And this can lead to a feeling of helplessness and an inability to move on.
As you listen to this recording there is a very good chance that you feel stuck.
It may be with someone or something.
And in this moment you can't seem to find a way through.
So here's my message to you.
This too shall pass.
Let me say that again.
Whatever it is that you are going through at this moment shall pass.
Just take a breath and let that sink in.
Everything is temporary without exception.
And so knowing that this situation that you may be feeling worried and anxious about will naturally disperse.
Because everything does.
Leaves you with a simple decision to make.
So ask yourself this question.
As I go through this,
Do I find ways to take care of myself?
Or do I allow something that is only temporary to dominate my health?
If your answer is to take care of yourself,
Then just the act of being proactive around this can have a tremendously positive effect on your well-being.
For example,
Replacing screen time with writing down your hopes and dreams for a brighter future.
Going for a walk in nature rather than sitting indoors.
Developing a practice of becoming silent rather than the noise of the TV or radio.
Spending time alone instead of with people who may have a negative effect on your outlook.
Whatever you choose,
You will be making decisions today that will create positive change for tomorrow.
And so in summary,
Don't attach your happiness and inner peace to something that will naturally disappear.
Let it go.
Allow it to flow.
And take care of yourself.
