This is a morning meditation for a great day and positive expectations.

Take a moment to sit or enter a comfortable position,

Whether you're sitting or lying down.

Gently close your eyes and allow your shoulders to drop away from your ears.

Let's begin by bringing your awareness to your breath.

Inhale slowly and deeply through your nose.

Exhale gently through your mouth.

Again,

Inhale and feel your lungs expand.

Exhale and let go of any tension or worry.

Let your breath become your anchor,

Steady,

Calm and natural.

Now gently bring your attention to the present moment.

Let go of anything that happened yesterday and release any pressure about tomorrow.

All that matters is this moment,

Right here,

Right now.

As you breathe,

Feel a sense of peace beginning to wash over you.

Imagine a soft,

Warm light surrounding you,

Comforting,

Calming and energizing you for the day ahead.

This light is filled with positive energy.

With every inhale,

You draw it in.

With every exhale,

You let go of anything that no longer serves you.

Let's take a short pause now.

In this quiet space,

Simply be.

Now notice how your body feels.

Notice your breath.

Notice the stillness within you.

As you begin to return to your breath,

Repeat silently or aloud the following affirmation.

Today I welcome joy.

I expect good things and I am open to all the possibilities that life offers me.

Let that affirmation settle in.

Feel it in your body.

Breathe it in.

Say it again if you like,

This time with conviction.

Today I welcome joy.

Visualize your day unfolding smoothly.

See yourself smiling.

See kindness coming to you and from you.

Picture small amounts of joy,

Laughter and success.

Feel the energy of good things already on their way.

Even if you don't know what it is yet.

Now bring your attention gently back to the room.

Wiggle your fingers and toes.

Take a deep energizing breath in.

And exhale fully.

When you're ready,

Slowly open your eyes.

Take this feeling with you.

You are calm.

You are open.

You are ready for a beautiful day.
