In this EFT Tapping meditation, we are going to work on releasing the travel anxiety you may be carrying. This will be super helpful if you have travel coming up or are currently traveling and feeling anxious. We will focus on feeling the excitement of the trip instead of the uncertainty we may be feeling. Music by Chris Collins

Welcome to your Travel Anxiety EFT Tapping Meditation.

This EFT Tapping Meditation is meant for you if you're experiencing travel anxiety and want to release it.

Maybe you have a trip coming up or you're currently traveling and you don't want this anxiety to overtake your thoughts anymore.

Travel anxiety while unpleasant is totally normal.

There's a lot of uncertainty when it comes to traveling and it becomes harder for us to feel grounded.

Our goal here is to release some of these feelings and turn some of the anxiousness you're feeling to excitement about your trip and about the memories and experiences you might have while you're traveling.

Before we begin,

Think about how much travel anxiety you currently have right now from a 1 through a 10.

10 being the strongest.

We're going to regrade when we're at the end of this meditation and hopefully our number goes down.

You can go ahead and get comfortable.

I'm going to tell you where to tap during this meditation and you can either say my statements aloud or just feel what I say.

Let's get started.

Go ahead and take a deep breath in and out.

Start tapping on the side of your hand.

I know sometimes I get anxious when I travel,

But I love and accept myself anyway.

Sometimes I dread going places because of this anxiety,

Even if I know I really want to go to wherever it is I'm traveling and I love and accept myself anyway.

I know that I can get to a place where I'm not in this constant state of anxiety over traveling and I fully love and accept myself.

Take a deep breath in and out.

Eyebrow,

Sometimes I get so anxious about traveling.

Side eye,

Sometimes it's before I travel that I feel anxious.

Under eye,

And sometimes it's during travel when I feel anxious.

Under nose,

And I don't like when this comes up for me.

Under mouth,

I want to release it.

Collarbone,

I feel like sometimes I don't have as much fun traveling because I'm just stuck in these anxious feelings.

Under your armpit,

And it's just so annoying to me.

Top of the head,

I just want to let this anxiety go.

Take a deep breath in and out.

Eyebrow,

I just want to feel excitement about where I'm going.

Side eye,

And not focus on anything else.

Under eye,

I want to feel free when I travel.

Under nose,

And not so focused on these anxious feelings.

Under mouth,

I really don't like this anxiety that I carry with me.

Collarbone,

I just want to release it.

Under your armpit,

It's not helping me in my life.

Top of the head,

And I don't want to hold on to it anymore.

Take a deep breath in and out.

Eyebrow,

What if I could just focus on the excitement of my trip?

Side eye,

What if I could focus on all the good that could happen to me while I'm traveling?

Under eye,

What if I could release this travel anxiety and just have a good time?

Under nose,

What if I knew that if I came across a threat,

I'd be able to deal with it then?

Under mouth,

But I don't have to focus on these thoughts the whole time.

Collarbone,

What if I just trusted myself to handle things when I needed to?

Under your armpit,

What if this trust allowed me to just stay more grounded when I travel?

Top of the head,

What if this trust in myself allowed me to have an amazing trip?

Take a deep breath in and out.

Eyebrow,

I know I'll have such a good time when I travel.

Side eye,

I don't need to worry about anything.

Under eye,

If something comes up that's a threat to me.

Under nose,

I know I'll be able to recognize it and deal with it then.

Under mouth,

It's not something I have to worry about the whole time.

Collarbone,

Worrying about this the whole time is not going to allow me to have fun.

Under your armpit,

Worrying won't allow me to feel free when I travel.

Top of the head,

I know that I can feel this freedom during this trip if I want to.

Take a deep breath in and out.

Eyebrow,

It feels so good to travel.

Side eye,

I love the excitement of traveling.

Under eye,

I love seeing new things.

Under nose and experiencing new things.

Under mouth,

It's so thrilling to me.

Collarbone,

I feel so good when I get to have these travel experiences.

Under your armpit,

And I know that I don't need to worry about anything.

Top of the head,

I trust myself to handle anything that may come up on my trip.

Take a deep breath in and out.

Eyebrow,

It's safe for me to trust myself when I travel.

Side eye,

It's safe for me to not worry the whole time when I travel.

Under eye,

Or worry leading up to traveling.

Under nose,

I am going to have an amazing time.

Under mouth,

And my journey there will be just as amazing.

Collarbone,

I trust that I will have a great time.

Under your armpit,

I trust in myself always.

Top of the head,

It feels so good to release this travel anxiety so that I can have an amazing trip.

Go ahead and take a deep breath in and out.

Okay,

That is the end of this EFT tapping meditation.

If you want to go ahead and grade where your travel anxiety is now that we've done the tapping,

You can and grade it from a one through ten.

Ten being the strongest,

And hopefully your number went down.

The sweet spot is really a four or below,

But if your number went down at all,

That is a positive.

And I hope that you have such a great trip,

I love this very specific tapping session for travel anxiety. I especially appreciate that it covers anticipatory thoughts and feelings. I enjoy the planning stage of travel and my anxious thoughts are taking that away from me. I hope with repeated use this tapping exercise will bring the joy back to travel planning.
