In this talk, we explore a vision of ecotheology that begins not with human dominion, but with elemental kinship. Drawing from the Bible, mysticism, and Taoist philosophy, Kindred to Creation reflects on what it means to be made of dust — and lit by divinity. We are not separate from the Earth’s unfolding. We are it. And in the face of extinction, grief, and climate crisis, this sacred belonging calls us not to transcend the world, but to love it more fiercely. This is not a theology of escape. It is a theology of return.
