Make yourself all cozy in your bed and close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in and then slowly and gently let the breath out.

Now just relax,
That's right,
Just relax.
Now imagine yourself surrounded by a beautiful white light.
A light so bright and so pure.
A light of protection and peace.
Breathe in this white light and feel it as it enters your body completely.
Making you feel warm and so safe.
Now imagine that you are in a beautiful,
Lush green rainforest.
And this forest has the most amazing trees.
Some of them are very tall.
So tall that they look as if they are touching the sky.
And you are deep in this forest and you realise it is late in the evening.
You notice that the sun has already set and has disappeared beyond the trees.
The night sky is dark and you look up and you see that the stars have come out.
And you notice that the moon is shining brightly high up in the sky,
Lighting your way forward.
So you begin to walk.
And as you do you see up ahead of you a cabin,
An old wooden cabin.
And as you walk towards it you see glints of sparkly light darting in and out behind the trees.
You are not afraid but you do wonder what it could be.
It's kind of like little fairies darting in and out of the trees.
Can you see them?
Your cabin is just ahead of you now and it looks so inviting,
So warm and cosy.
Take a look at your cabin.
What else can you see?
You step onto the porch of your cabin and see in the corner a lovely old hammock slowly swinging in the gentle breeze.
And you decide that you will have a lie down on the hammock and watch the stars.
It's a bit wobbly getting on your hammock and you laugh as you nearly fall off.
But you do get on.
You decide to listen to the sounds of the forest for just a little while while you swing gently backwards and forwards in your hammock.
As you lie on your hammock you notice it has gently started to rain and you can hear it as it runs down the roof of your porch.
There is something very comforting about listening to the raindrops as they dance around you without them touching your skin at all.
You can hear the sounds of the birds as they look for somewhere to roost for the night.
Can you hear them?
Can you hear the rain?
Listen.
You see that the rain has started to come down a little bit harder now.
And you swing slowly from side to side in your comfortable hammock with your head resting gently on a wonderful soft cushion.
And you feel very comfortable and very warm and so very safe.
Meanwhile the forest is being washed by the rain and it smells all lovely and clean.
And you can hear the amazing sounds of the night.
You can hear an owl calling to its mate.
You can hear the gentle hum of the crickets.
You can even hear twigs being broken and stepped upon by the animals of the night as they go about their business.
And this comforts you.
It makes you feel quite safe.
It makes you feel relaxed and calm and very peaceful.
The sounds of the rain are becoming louder now.
And this makes you feel really special.
It's like it's just you on your hammock listening to the rain.
And as you lie in your hammock you are feeling sleepy and warm but you want to listen to the rain.
So for a few moments just listen to the wonderful sound of the rain in the night forest.
You sway gently from side to side in your lovely hammock.
All the time feeling peaceful and calm and so safe.
You are feeling very drowsy now but still you want to watch and listen.
You want to listen to the peaceful sounds of the rain.
You want to watch to see if you can see any more dancing lights.
You listen to the sound of the rain.
Imagine how it feels to have the rain washing over you.
Cleansing you in a way.
Cleansing you and helping you to become ready for sleep.
And in a way it is.
Now you are feeling very tired and oh so sleepy.
So we are going to begin to count down to the best sleep.
We are going to count from 10 to 1.
And by the time we get to 1 you will be fast asleep.
So listen to my voice as I start to count from 10 to 1.

Your eyes are closed and your body is feeling very heavy now.

You feel yourself sinking deeply into your hammock and it feels wonderful.
It is as if you are lying on a soft fleecy cloud.

You are feeling so very sleepy.
So warm and so comfy.
And you are so tired now.

You feel very relaxed,
Very calm,
Very peaceful and so very safe.

You begin to drift deeper and deeper into a happy and very peaceful sleep.

All the time you can still hear the sounds of the rain and it is like a lullaby singing you off to sleep.
So peaceful,
So calm,
So tired.

Your body is resting now.
So peaceful,
So calm and so deeply,
Deeply relaxed.

You are going deeper and deeper into sleep and you cannot open your eyes even if you wanted to.
But you don't want to.

Your mind has now followed your body into sleep.

Peacefully,

So sleepy.

When you wake in the morning,
You will feel so refreshed,
So renewed.
