Hi,
This is a guided visualization for positive body image.
Do not listen to this audio when your mind requires your conscious attention.
Listen only when you are stationary or sitting comfortably in a chair with your feet flat on the floor.
So now get comfortable.
Close your eyes.
Put your hands in your lap and allow yourself to completely relax.
We are now going to start with a deep breathing exercise where you will be inhaling deeply through the nose.
Fill up your lungs fully with the air.
Let your chest and belly expand and then breathe out through the mouth.
So let's take the first deep breath.
Breathe in.
Breathe out through the mouth.
Now continue to take similar few more deep breaths as I stay quiet for a few moments.
Now come back to your normal breathing and let your breath be normal and natural.
Now focus on each in-breath and each out-breath.
Become mindful of your breath.
And with each breath you take and with each word I say,
You are relaxing yourself more and more.
I would like you to now use your imagination and picture yourself on a white,
Soft,
White sandy beach.
Just imagine that you're standing on the gorgeous beach looking out into the horizon.
And as you look around,
You notice that you're all alone on the beach.
And from the corner of your eye,
You notice the sun slowly beginning to rise up into the great blue sky.
Now slowly move your attention to the soles of your feet and feel the sand between your toes.
Seeing the sounds around you,
The sounds of the waves gently rolling up to the shore and then noticing how the waves slowly roll back into the ocean.
Feel the fresh,
Salty air.
In the distance you can hear the sounds of the waves gently crashing.
And with each wave you begin to feel your body becoming more and more calmer,
Relaxed,
And energized.
With the same imaginative mind,
I would like you to imagine and picture yourself as a toddler surrounded by your family and loved ones.
Picture your mother gently lifting you up and notice how happy and joyful she feels by just looking at you.
Imagine her telling how beautiful and adorable you are.
She's giggling and telling you how much she loves you and how perfect you are.
Continue to notice how much everyone around you loves you and adores you.
Now let's fast forward to your teenage days and picture yourself standing in front of a mirror.
And as you notice yourself in the mirror,
You look deep into the eyes and tell yourself,
I love you just the way you are.
Today is the day to let go of all those comments and hurtful things said to you regarding your body.
Just let all of that go as I snap my fingers now.
With the wise mind,
You're also choosing to let go of any envy you feel because you realize that everyone is unique and beautiful in their own special way.
With this in mind,
You're now taking back the power you once lost as a teenager.
You are now more appreciative of your body and for everything your body does for you each and every day.
You feel grateful for being able to walk,
Talk,
See,
Breathe,
Taste,
Feel,
Touch and move and perhaps so much more.
Today you have decided to deeply love yourself and your body and you've chosen to accept yourself exactly the way you are.
And this makes you feel beautiful,
Amazing and special.
Today you are allowing your heart to open up and give yourself all the love you so truly deserve.
And notice how satisfied and liberated you feel.
And I wonder if you can now repeat the affirmations after me.
I allow my light to shine through my body.
I am grateful for my wonderful body.
I am grateful for all the amazing things my body does for me on a daily basis.
I send love to my bones,
Muscles,
Organs and cells.
My cells radiate with love.
I love and respect my body.
Now take a moment to feel the gratitude and joy for having a wonderful body.
I am now going to leave you here for a few moments so that you enjoy this beautiful state of relaxation.
In a moment I am going to count you up from 1 to 5.
At 5 you will be fully awake,
Feeling great about yourself.
So start coming up with 1,
Higher up with 2,
Further up with 3,
All your mental,
Emotional,
Physical,
Spiritual bodies aligned at 4,
At 5,
Eyes open,
Wide awake.
