Take a moment to notice that you have paused.
You don't need to arrive in any particular way.
However you are feeling,
Right now is enough to begin.
If it feels comfortable,
You might gently close your eyes.
Or soften your gaze.
Begin by noticing where your body is in contact with what's supporting you.
Perhaps the chair,
The floor.
Or the surface beneath you.
Let yourself feel the weight of your body resting.
There is no need to hold yourself together here.
You can allow your body to be supported just as it is.
You might notice areas that feel settled.
And other areas that feel tense or unsettled.
There is no need to work on these sensations.
Just simply noticing them as being a part of your body today.
If the mind starts looking for something to fix.
A thought.
A feeling.
.
.
Or a sense of discomfort.
See if you can notice that gently,
Without needing to follow it.
Nothing has gone wrong.
This is just a moment of being with what's already here.
You might bring attention to your breath.
Not to change it.
But to notice it moving naturally.
Or you may prefer to stay with the feeling of contact and support in the body.
There is no right place for your attention to rest.
Wherever feels most neutral or steady is enough.
If emotions are present.
Tiredness.
Restlessness.
Or a sense of relief.
You don't need to push them away.
Or engage with them.
Just letting them exist alongside sensations of support and contact.
This is a practice of allowing.
Allowing the body to settle.
Without needing to be different.
Taking a few more moments here.
Letting your nervous system slow in its own time.
When you're ready.
Begin to notice the space around you again.
The sounds in the room.
Feeling of being here.
And when it feels right,
You can open your eyes or lift your gaze.
Bringing this sense of steadiness with you as you continue on.
