Allow yourself to lie back,
Supported.
Maybe you're on your mat or the floor or maybe even your bed.
But allow yourself to find a way to soften,
To feel supported.
Maybe you have pillows or blankets supporting you.
Just allowing yourself to soften.
Eyes closed,
Jaw relaxed.
You soften the face,
Soften the eyelids,
Unclench your jaw,
Soften the temples,
Relax your hairline,
Your scalp,
And the back of your head.
Relax.
Maybe you rock your head left to right,
Settling in.
You soften your neck and your shoulders,
Allowing the shoulder blades to wrap underneath you,
Creating space for the heart to be open,
Space for the breath to expand and to move with ease through the body.
Soften into that surface beneath you,
Letting it hold you.
You soften your shoulders and your arms,
Letting your arms splash out beside you,
Palms towards the sky.
Your hands relax,
Your fingertips soften,
Elbows and wrists relax,
Arms and legs feeling weightless.
You relax the thighs,
Soften the knees and the calves,
Your ankles and your heels relax,
The soles of your feet and your toes,
Soft and still.
You soften the back line of your body,
Melting into your space,
Supported and safe,
Feeling held,
Aware of the ease of the breath moving through the body.
You notice any place in the body there may still be tension,
And you take a full breath in,
And with a full breath out,
You release any tension you have been carrying.
Cleansing inhale,
Cleansing exhale.
Soften the forehead,
Soften the crown of the head,
And from head to toe,
Notice the ease.
Allow yourself to feel soft and present,
Supported and safe.
You're held as you lie back,
Just breathing.
You start to wiggle your fingers and toes,
Coming back to the body.
A fresh breath in,
And a full breath out.
Open the eyes,
Open the eyes.
Welcome back to the body.
