This meditation is most powerfully recieved during the time of the full moon. Starting with cultivated space for pure awareness, we will then go into a guided visualization and end with subtle affirmations. The full moon is a wonderful time for clarity. May you shine bright!

To get in tune with the flow of the lunar cycle,

We're going to do a three-part meditation.

The first part is going to be pure awareness meditation where we'll get comfortable and sit in silence for a period of time opening to the infinite possibilities and allowing the illumination of the full moon to shed light on whatever is hiding in the shadows.

The second part will be a visualization and the third part will be affirmations.

When the meditation ends,

You'll hear a soft bell.

So with that,

I invite you to sit comfortably in a wakeful yet relaxed posture.

If you're comfortable closing your eyes,

You can do that now.

There are essentially two types of meditation,

Focus and awareness.

Focus meditations give us something to think about,

Something for the mind to ruminate on while sitting in meditation like affirmations or visualization.

These are your typical guided meditations that generally have some kind of purpose or outcome associated with it.

Awareness meditation is different than that.

Awareness meditation does not give the mind anything to think about or to work with.

It's what you think of when you think of classic meditation.

There's absolutely nothing to focus on.

There's nowhere to hide and there's no internal or external distractions.

When thoughts enter your mind,

You just let them pass without getting caught up in them.

Don't follow your thoughts.

Don't go down that train.

Just allow whatever comes up to be there and to go away.

Allow yourself to be open to the infinite possibilities.

Allow the illumination of the full moon to shed light on whatever is hiding in the shadows.

Sit with an open awareness and continually push distractions,

Outside thoughts and sounds,

Aside.

I'll be here holding space the entire time and it'll be quiet.

So don't lose your awareness.

I'm sitting in pure awareness meditation.

I'm sitting in pure awareness meditation for just over three minutes.

So in your mind's eye,

I'd like you visualize a black sky over a black ocean.

Keeping your eyes closed and staying in this state of pure,

Open awareness.

Allow yourself to welcome this visualization.

Can you smell the salt of the water?

Can you hear in the tides washing over the surface of the land?

Maybe you can feel the cool mist and the salty water spraying the air.

In front of you,

There is a vast ocean of energy.

Swirling,

Moving,

Churning,

Ever changing and ever present.

Take another deep breath.

Move your mind's eye to the horizon.

Notice the full moon rising over the watering landscape.

It rises slowly so first just see the upper edge of the circle.

The glittering lights that twinkle off the ripples of the water.

As it rises slowly just before your eyes,

Notice all the craters and imperfections of this spinning orb of night light.

Reminding us that we can shine even if we've been through hard things.

Even if we've been damaged in the past,

We still have the power to show up and shine.

It makes its way up to the night sky among the tiny shimmering stars.

As you look around,

There's a reflection of the moonlight on the water.

Not still,

Wobbly.

It shifts and change with every ripple,

Every wave.

Change is ever present in our lives.

Ideally,

We move with grace through each change,

Accepting each wave as it washes over our being,

Allowing it to transform us into the next phase and the next and the next.

By connecting with the power of the full moon tonight,

We wish to grow with grace.

We affirm that our wishes become reality.

So repeat the following affirmations to yourself with the full belief that they are already true.

We're not manifesting these into reality.

They are our reality.

I am the dreamer of my dreams.

I feel empowered.

I show up for myself.

My home is a sanctuary.

I am blessed beyond belief.

I am protected and strong.

I embrace the unknown path before me.

I am rooted in my beliefs.

I am powerful in my actions.

I welcome an abundance of good health.

I am fully supported.

I am proud of my accomplishments.

All is well.

I am the dreamer of my dreams.

I feel empowered.

I show up for myself.

My home is a sanctuary.

I am blessed beyond belief.

I am protected and strong.

I embrace the unknown path before me.

I am rooted in my beliefs.

I am powerful in my actions.

I welcome an abundance of good health.

I am fully supported.

I am proud of my accomplishments.

Come back to the room.

Come back to your body.

Come back to this present moment.
