Take some time to come into your seat and find a deep,

Nourishing breath.

As you begin to get comfortable and rooted,

Perhaps finding your hands resting in your lap,

As you continue to nourish your cells with fresh,

Nourishing breath,

You begin to feel a little more settled.

In this root breath,

We are welcoming in the tantric practice of bringing life force energy from the earth up to our crown,

While integrating a root lock called Mulavanda.

This root lock consists of squeezing your pelvic floor muscles as if you are holding yourself from going to the bathroom,

Or perhaps squeezing the pelvic floor as if you are holding up and in some energy.

You can try that a few times now just by contracting the perineum,

The muscles of the pelvic floor.

And then finding just an easeful breath,

Without any locks,

And tapping into your energetic roots,

Bringing our focus,

Our attention and awareness to the base of the spine,

But also to the back and front of our genital area and surrounding.

Just plugging into the root chakra space as we allow these etheric,

Beautiful tendrils of light,

Rooted into Mother Earth,

Come to life with each breath.

As you transition your breath pattern,

I want you to imagine as if you are breathing in from the earth into your energetic roots,

And exhaling from your roots into the earth.

Exhaling from the earth,

Releasing any fears of security,

Of safety,

And exhaling,

Rooting in to a more solid foundation of self,

Of unity.

And as you inhale this next round,

I invite you to breathe in this life force energy from the earth,

This primal force,

Engaging in a root lock,

Squeezing those pelvic floors as you inhale,

And releasing as you exhale.

Inhale,

Drying up,

Nourishing life force energy from our Great Mother,

Exhale as you release your root lock and open up to receiving,

To letting go,

To rooting.

This time I would invite you to inhale from your root space,

Drawing up the energy from your roots into the space just below your belly button.

From your root into your sacral space,

Engaging in that mula bhanda lock,

And then exhale,

Clear the pathway.

And then draw this breath one step higher into the center of the belly,

Our radiant sun,

Our solar plexus,

As you inhale from the root,

Engaging in a mula bhanda,

A root lock,

Into your sacral and into your solar plexus,

Exhale,

Release,

Clear the path.

Let this feeling into the warmth of energy start to emanate,

Radiate,

Pulsate through you.

And on your next inhale,

Draw this energy up into the heart space,

Engaging in your root lock as you pull this energy from the earth into your energetic roots,

Your sacral,

Your solar plexus,

And your heart.

Exhale,

Clearing the path,

Rooting in deeper and letting go of old stories and feeling into the divinity and the primal nature of who you are.

Inhale,

Draw up this beautiful nectar from the earth,

Coming into a root lock as you pull and pulsate the energy all the way up to your throat.

And exhale,

Release and clear the path,

Opening up your true voice,

Spoken word,

Internal and external words,

Voice,

Song.

When you are ready,

On your next cycle of inhale,

Pulsating this energy from and into your energetic roots,

Engaging in that lock,

Bringing this energy up to the third eye,

The place between your eyebrows,

Opening up true vision,

Exhale,

Release and clear the path,

Removing any confusion,

Disillusion,

Coming into a place of knowing.

And then finally,

As we draw in a breath,

We draw in from the earth,

Coming into our root lock,

Pulsating,

Pulling,

Vibrating this energy from the root to the sacral,

To the solar plexus,

The throat,

The third eye,

And out of the crown.

And as you exhale,

Release and clear the path,

Just see this beautiful energy washing over you.

Continue to move through this breath practice from root to crown until you feel clear,

Complete and recalibrated,

Connected and rooted in.

Blessings.
