Welcome to this grounding meditation.
Take a moment to find a comfortable and quiet spot and lie down on your back.
Adjust your body so that your spine is aligned.
Place your arms on the ground alongside your body.
Bend your knees and place both of your feet flat about hip distance apart and let your knees knock in and touch.
Relax your jaw.
Soften your forehead.
Allow your shoulders to become heavy and allow your eyes to close.
Take a deep breath in and watch your belly rise and exhale fully.
Let your belly fall.
Inhale and notice the expansion.
Exhale,
Let it all go.
Repeat this several times,
Just watching the rise and fall of your belly.
As you feel your whole body start to soften,
You notice the sensation of ease and calm wash over you.
You fall into a deeper state of relaxation.
Place your awareness onto all the areas of your body that are touching the surface beneath you right now and let all of those parts become heavier and heavier.
Relax the back of your head,
Shoulders,
Back,
Spine,
Arms,
Backs of the hands,
Tailbone,
Calf muscles,
And the soles of your feet.
Allow the ground to fully hold and support you.
As you take a deep nourishing breath in and a full slow breath out,
Begin to visualize a beautiful meadow appear all around you.
An endless sea of emerald green that is alive with butterflies that dance among the daisies on a quiet balmy summer's eve underneath a pastel blue sky.
As you inhale deeply,
Breathe in the sweet scent of the colorful wildflowers and exhale fully.
As you look down,
You notice that you are barefoot and you wiggle your toes in the blanket of grass and start to connect with the earth beneath you.
Plugging into the ground,
Charging yourself up,
Feel an electrical current flowing through your whole body like a wave that is pulsating up from the tips of your toes,
Flowing up your legs,
Your thighs,
Your hips,
And your stomach.
Flowing up and over your chest and back down your arms to your fingers,
Rolling over your face,
All the way up to the crown of your head.
And with each deep breath,
This current becomes stronger and stronger,
Swirling and flowing through every inch of your body,
Through all the muscles and tendons,
Through all your bones and organs,
Through tissues and nerves.
As you begin to feel a deep cellular renewal wash through you,
You slowly and consciously start to walk through the grassy meadow.
Feel the warmth of the Sun on your skin,
The kiss of the gentle breeze,
The solid earth beneath your feet,
And in the distance you notice a beautiful patch of woodland.
As you start to approach it,
You see a small winding path that is lined with ancient oak trees and covered in a carpet of snowdrops.
As squirrels dart from branch to branch,
Streams of golden sunbeams illuminate your way.
You glance down at your bare feet and dig your toes in the dirt and feel the crunch of leaves under the soles of your feet,
Grounding down,
Deeper down,
Like the tangled roots of the old trees.
Down even more,
You stand so tall and strong,
Both on the earth and connected to it,
Drawing up nutrients and grounding down into the land.
Breathe even more deeply now.
Draw your breath into your belly.
Let your breath fill your body.
Inhale the fresh earthy scent of moss and soil and pull the earth's energy up.
Tune in to the electrical rhythms,
The earth's medicine,
And let it saturate every inch of your body,
Powering you up from the inside out.
As you begin to hear the sound of water trickling somewhere in the distance,
You start to follow the sound and you walk with ease and grace,
Step by step,
Breath by breath,
Until you come to a clearing amongst the tall old trees and see a small flowing stream with water that glimmers in the sunlight as dragonflies dart between the reeds and grasses.
You look down and notice all the smooth pebbles and feel their comforting warmth as they massage the soles of your feet.
As you slowly take just a few more steps until your toes dip into the refreshing water and the small stream flows past your ankles,
You press your toes down into the smooth pebbles beneath you,
Connecting to the earth energy for a deep,
Full body renewal.
Allow this soothing energy to flood your entire body and with each deep breath you take,
It becomes stronger and stronger,
Even more intense.
As you take the deepest breath you have taken all week and now the deepest you have taken all month,
And feel this sense of grounded aliveness flow through all layers of your being.
You are plugged in.
You are charged up.
Your batteries are full.
Take a deep breath in and allow your exhale to be a natural release as you let go of old thoughts,
Emotions,
And things.
Release anything you want to get rid of.
Feel the cool water gently wash away the old,
Recycling them into something new and beautiful.
You feel so much lighter and brighter and completely energized.
Take a deep inhale and draw the energy up and a full exhale and release.
Breathe in fully and as you exhale let out a sigh or any sound that feels good.
As you contemplate that your biological rhythms are simply a reflection of the external world,
You reconnect to the source of all life and bring a gentle smile to your face.
Then take a moment of appreciation,
Giving thanks to Mother Earth and Father Sky and the abundance of nature all around you,
Feeling so grateful for your body,
Your breath,
And all of your blessings in life.
You are full.
Inhale deeply,
Exhale fully.
As you keep your eyes closed,
You begin to bring yourself back to the space that you are in right now.
Notice the movement and temperature of the air around your skin.
Observe all the areas of your body that are touching the surface beneath you.
Listen to the beat of your heart as you wiggle your toes,
Reach your hands above your head,
And take a nice big stretch like you have just awoken in the morning.
And feel free to yawn or sigh and move in any way that feels good for you,
Carrying the earth energy with you as you move throughout your day.
Then blink your eyes open and give them a moment to adjust to the light.
Blink your eyes open and give them a moment to adjust to the light.
Thank you so much for listening.
Have the most beautiful day.
