Welcome to this morning meditation.
Let's begin our day with intention,
Checking in with ourselves.
At the start of the day,
Our minds are clear,
Calm and steady.
This is the perfect time for meditation as we are yet to take on the busyness of the day.
By checking in with ourselves,
We are able to be fully present and live more intentionally.
By focusing our attention inwards,
We pave the way for a peaceful and beautiful day.
So as we begin,
Find a comfortable seated position.
Pressing down through your sit bones,
Finding length in your spine and gently closing the eyes.
Begin to tune in to your breath.
Notice your breath.
Notice how it feels in your body and start to take your breath a little bit deeper.
Allowing each breath to fill you with a sense of calm and presence.
We'll take three cleansing breaths by inhaling deeply through your nose and exhaling completely through your mouth.
Inhale,
Exhale.
Last time,
Inhale a little deeper.
Exhale,
Completely let go of any tension.
And now just allow your breath to find its natural rhythm again.
Feel the rhythm of your breath as it flows in and out,
Grounding you in this present moment.
Now bring your awareness to your body.
Notice any sensations that arise.
Watch them without judgment or attachment.
Scan your body from your head all the way down to your toes.
Taking note of any areas of tension or discomfort and gently breathing into those areas,
Inviting them to soften and release.
Next,
Bring your attention to your thoughts.
Notice any thoughts that may be present in your mind.
Observe them with a sense of curiosity and compassion.
Allowing any thoughts that may arise to gently pass you by.
Step back and just be the observer.
Notice any emotions that may be present.
Allow yourself to fully feel them without trying to change or suppress them.
Now,
Check in with your heart.
Connect with your innermost desires and intentions for the day ahead.
What do you hope to cultivate in your life today?
What qualities do you want to embody as you move through your day?
Take a moment to set an intention for how you want to show up in the world today.
With your intention in mind,
Take a few more deep breaths,
Breathing in the energy of your intention and exhaling any doubts or distractions.
Feel yourself becoming aligned with your highest self,
Ready to approach the day with clarity,
Purpose and grace.
As we come to the end of this meditation,
Take one final deep breath in,
Savouring the sense of presence and awareness.
And exhale slowly,
Releasing any remaining tension or resistance.
When you feel ready,
Reach your arms above your head.
Take a big inhale,
Stretching the body and exhale slowly,
Exhale,
Release.
On your next inhale,
Gently open your eyes with a smile.
Take a moment to thank yourself for taking the time this morning to check in and set an intention for your day.
Carry this sense of presence with you as you move through your day,
Knowing that you have the power to create a life filled with purpose and meaning.
