Hello and welcome,
My name is Mindy and I'll be guiding you on your journey today.
This meditation is meant to remind you that you have the ability to create change in your life through the awareness of your thoughts.
Let us begin by finding a comfortable space to sit or lay down.
Close your eyes and relax into this space.
Allow yourself to become aware of the natural flow of your breathing.
Notice the rise and fall of your belly.
Notice the rise and fall of your chest.
As your body softens into this space,
Know that you are safe here.
This is a place for you to focus on your needs with no judgment or fear.
In your heart,
You know what you want your days to look like and how you want your life to feel.
But your mind may need more direction.
It may need to be told where you want or need it to go.
By training your mind,
You can cultivate daily self-care rituals,
Ones that will show you that your intentions are obtainable and that they can lead to a fulfilled life.
On your next inhale,
Breathe in an intention that you would like to incorporate into your daily life.
Maybe that intention is to make more time for yourself.
Maybe it's to have better communication with others.
It could be that you want to take a walk outside and reconnect with nature.
Your intention should be realistic,
Reasonable,
Something attainable.
Whatever your intention,
See it filling and charging every cell in your body.
Watch as it moves from one cell to the next until it encompasses all of you.
As we continue this practice,
If you feel your mind start to wander,
Reconnect with the rhythm of your breathing and focus your mind on your intention.
Now allow yourself to sense how this intention makes your body feel.
Breathe into these feelings.
Breathe in their meaning.
Breathe in their power.
Feel as this intention now becomes second nature,
Ingrained into your heart,
Your mind,
And in your life.
As you bask in the energy of these feelings,
Notice if you have any worries or self-doubts that try to creep in.
Acknowledge them,
But don't dwell on them.
On your next exhale,
Breathe them out.
Simply let them go as easily as they came.
See them leaving your mind and leaving your body on your next exhale.
Consider how you can live every day in alignment with your intention.
By practicing aligning with your intentions and your values,
Your heart and mind can more easily connect and communicate.
Visualize what having your heart and mind on the same path would look like.
Maybe your days are now filled with more communication.
Maybe you find more time to spend in nature.
Whatever you visualize,
Tap into these feelings that the image brings with it.
Let these feelings flow throughout your entire body.
Watch as they move and circle until they come to rest in your heart space.
As we end our meditation,
Place your hands on your heart.
Seal in your practice by taking a few deep,
Rejuvenating breaths.
Let these breaths cleanse you.
Let them awaken you and energize you.
Let these breaths connect you to your intention so you can come back to it easily throughout the day.
Let your breathing settle back to its natural rhythm.
Bring some movement and awareness back into your body.
Take a moment to thank yourself for being here.
Thank yourself for honoring your body's need and desire to rest and to recharge.
