Take a quick break to ground, regroup, and return to the creative flow of life. Sometimes all it takes is a few minutes to pause, let go of that which doesn't serve you, and come home to yourself again. Beth gently guides you to get centered in your breath and body, and to visit your "special place" to reconnect with life and its inspirations. Today's meditation is to help you take a short break to get grounded,

To let go of something that's not serving you,

And to reconnect with the flow of your life energy.

Remember to find a comfortable place to sit or lie down and allow yourself to relax while also staying awake.

If there's anything that might take you away from being fully present,

Imagine taking it and putting it into just the right container.

Maybe it's something you want to gently put into a basket.

Or maybe it's something that you're ready to put into a big safe and lock the key on.

Take whatever might distract you and put it in a container off to the side,

Knowing that you can come back to it at any time when you are resourced to address it.

Now we're going to get grounded by just connecting to the life force of the breath in your body.

Take one hand and gently place it on your heart.

And take the other and gently place it on your belly.

As you do this,

Notice the rhythm of your breath,

How it moves through your body like waves.

Invite your breath to be a little deeper and longer on the exhale than on the inhale.

With each exhale you release anything that's not needed.

With each inhale you nourish yourself.

As you feel these waves of breath,

You are connected to the life energy that naturally and effortlessly moves through you.

Now imagine yourself in a safe,

Beautiful space where you feel completely grounded.

Maybe you're lying down in a clearing in the woods,

Listening to the sound of a creek nearby.

Find your special place and be transported there.

Allow yourself to take in the beauty.

Take in the sense of comfort.

Take in little glimmers of inspiration from just being in this beautiful space.

Allow yourself the vision of this space that you are transported to,

The feelings of it,

The sounds.

Drink in the scene of groundedness,

Of beauty,

Of inspiration.

Let yourself be nourished and restored.

Now notice your breath in your body.

Has it shifted any?

Is it deeper?

Is there more relaxation in your body?

Is there a little sense of glimmering energy from this grounded inspiration?

Invite yourself to drink in the freshness of this experience,

The beauty and the inspiration.

Now we will begin to close this practice,

Remembering that you can always come back to this space,

This haven of yours.

Remember you can always go back to that container now and decide,

Do you want to pick it up?

Do you want to leave it closed?

Do you want to take just one thing out of it and choose what to pick up and what to let go of?

And now we'll gently return back to the room,

Wiggling your hands and toes,

Allowing another final breath before you gently and slowly open your eyes and return to the room.

Namaste.
