Welcome to this chakra balancing meditation.
To begin,
Come into a comfortable shape.
Whatever shape feels good and allows the fullest breath.
Fully lengthen your spine.
Let your eyes close.
Let your jaw relax.
Appreciate the opportunity to pause.
Relax the muscles in your face.
With every exhale,
Feel yourself grow heavier.
Relax a little bit deeper with each breath.
Notice how you feel in your body and in your mind.
Some days are more restless than others.
Some days we feel lighter or heavier.
Neither is wrong.
Just observe how you feel in this moment.
Bring your focus to your breath.
Observe the length of your inhales and exhales.
Breathe into your belly,
Letting all four corners expand.
Expand your rib cage and your back body.
Breathe into your chest,
Filling every crevice of your lungs.
Lengthen your out-breath.
Continue that full,
Deep inhale and drawn-out exhale.
Attempt to quiet your thoughts by allowing your breath to get loud.
Be aware when your thoughts wander and gently guide your focus back to your breath.
Visualize a red glow growing from the bottom of your pelvic floor.
That red glow feels heavy,
Weighted,
Grounding you into the earth.
With each breath,
That red glow enlarges.
Now visualize a green glow emanating from your heart space.
Visualize a green light emanating from your heart space.
Emanating from your heart space.
Let this breath be light and airy,
Lifting you.
Feel yourself get lighter as the glow gets brighter.
Picture that green glow inflating like a balloon.
And the red glow becoming the heavy weight that anchors and secures that balloon to the earth.
Become that balloon.
Feel your heart elevates.
Just like that balloon,
Floating,
Swaying.
Feel your pelvic floor anchor,
Stable.
Bring your attention back into your body.
Notice the points of contact between your body and the earth underneath you.
Notice how you feel in your mind and your body.
Notice what's changed.
Notice what's changed in your body.
Begin to deepen your breath.
Breathe into your belly,
Expanding completely,
Filling all the way up to your collarbones.
Hold it at the top.
Open your mouth.
Let it all go in one smooth,
Long exhale.
Empty out completely.
Take a moment to congratulate yourself on completing this self-awareness practice.
And realize that no meditation practice is ever unsuccessful.
Growth is achieved in every single mindfulness practice.
Namaste.
