Visualisation meditations are some of the most powerful mindfulness tools to manage our pain. Through the power of releasing the ball of energy - whether it be pain, anxiety or any discomfort - we’re able to feel in control, allowing us to be empowered in this journey. Really hope it helps, warrior. A special shoutout to Yogi Bryan and his wonderful meditation workshop I attended that helped inspire this one. Massive thanks to Piotr Witowski from Pixabay for the beautiful background music.

Good evening,

And thank you so much for joining me for this Mind the Pain mindfulness meditation,

Aimed at reducing the stress,

Pain,

And anxiety caused by endometriosis.

When you're ready,

I invite you to close your eyes or keep an unfocused gaze in front of you,

Whichever you prefer.

Allow your body to lay down and relax,

Your head,

Shoulders,

Belly,

And full body slowly melting into the surface below you.

We'll start with two deep belly breaths to allow us to fully slow down and arrive here in the stillness.

So when you're ready,

Just a deep breath in through your nose,

An extra quick inhale filling all the way up,

And a nice deep exhale out.

One more time,

Deep breath in through the nose,

An extra quick inhale,

And a nice slow exhale out.

Nicely done.

Allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm,

Feeling your body relax with each inhale and exhale,

Noticing a sense of calm and peace while showering.

Just imagine yourself on a gorgeous beach at sunset,

It's been one of those vacation days where you feel the right kind of sun-kissed and relaxed.

Or a day of just pure calm.

The smell of the peaceful blue water in front of you,

Flowing softly at your feet as you walk through the surf.

As the sun begins to set on the horizon,

The sky is painted with beautiful shades of orange,

Blue,

And pink,

Like cotton candy or fairy floss if you're British or Australian.

The soothing rhythm of the gentle waves lapping against the shore calms your mind and body,

Taking a moment to feel the warm,

Soft sand beneath you,

Supporting and comforting you.

As you take in this peaceful scene,

Notice the gentle breeze brushing against your skin,

Feeling completely safe and at ease in this gorgeous place.

Focusing on any areas of your body where you may still feel pain,

Anxiety,

Or stress and tension,

You'll just notice the soothing ocean water nearby,

Sparkling under the golden light of the setting sun.

This is healing water,

Kind of like something you get at Sephora or something.

You'll just slowly begin to gather some of this healing water in your hands,

Feel the soothing coolness of it,

And watch how it glistens in your palms.

Just gently rub the water onto the areas of your body that are experiencing pain or discomfort.

It could be your pelvis,

Lower back,

Or your head.

Just softly massage the water into these areas,

And let them loosen and relax.

And as you do,

Imagine the water washing away the pain,

Soothing and cooling those areas.

Visualize the pain or tension coming to the surface as a color.

It could be any color that represents the discomfort you're feeling.

Maybe it's a bright shade,

Or a darker one.

Just observe the color without judgment as it comes to the surface.

Once all of the colorful energy is gathered to the surface,

Imagine lightly pulling it out of the air in your body,

And forming it into a ball in your hands.

This ball now holds all of your discomfort and pain.

Just take a moment to observe it.

Maybe it's shiny and smooth,

Or a bit rougher.

Maybe it's even a bit slippery.

Just hold it in your hands,

And feel the weight of it and its texture.

Breathing deeply,

And feeling fully in control.

We'll just think of a creative way to destroy this ball of pain and tension.

You might imagine throwing it into the ocean,

Where the waves quickly wash it away and dissolve it into nothingness.

Maybe you see it disintegrating into the air,

Breaking apart and disappearing completely.

Or maybe even taking a baseball bat and swinging for the fences or horizon.

Choose whatever method feels right for you.

Just make sure you witness it disappear.

As the ball of pain and tension is destroyed like the Death Star,

Allow your body to finally feel an immense sense of relief.

Our discomfort is gone,

Leaving your body feeling light,

Peaceful,

And finally at ease.

Just take a deep breath in,

And as you exhale,

Release any remaining tension,

Allowing yourself to fully relax.

Spend a few moments basking in this sense of tranquility and comfort.

The beach,

The sunset,

And the soothing ocean that have helped you find relief and peace.

Know that you can return to this safe place whenever you need to,

Bringing with you the healing power of this visualization and that special water.

Before we bring this meditation to a close,

We'll just take another deep breath in through the nose,

And a nice,

Slow exhale through the mouth.

One more time,

A deep breath in through the nose,

And a nice slow exhale through the mouth.

Allow yourself to drift off,

Knowing you are safe,

Supported,

And are healing.

Sweet dreams,

Warrior.

Have a beautiful sleep.
