Reminding mysef where I am, helps me to stay grounded. This is a quick 5 minute meditation to help ground yourself in your surroundings. Sip air in and let it root you into where you are. It's a simple question right? "Where am I?" "Where are you?" But it's not always that simple as our minds wander and take us to everywhere but here. This is the way that I try to ground myself into understanding that I am here and I am breathing. Any and all feedback is welcome!

Thank you for joining me for today's mindfulness meditation.

We'll begin with an intention.

Where am I?

When am I?

And as we go through today's meditation,

We will ask ourselves that and remind ourselves that we are here,

That we are here right now,

And that all we're doing is breathing.

And all we'll do throughout this entire practice is breathe.

We'll go ahead and begin by getting comfortable.

Take a seat,

Lie down,

Take a position that feels authentic and right for your body.

We'll go ahead and inhale together.

Hold the inhale as it reaches the top and exhale all of it out,

Cleansing everything out of you.

Again,

We'll inhale together and exhale.

And we ask,

Where am I?

I am right here.

And go ahead and notice what it feels like to be right here.

What do your feet feel like?

And notice your legs,

Your stomach.

What does breath feel like as it enters your chest?

What does breath feel like as it enters our body?

Is it warm?

Is it cold?

Where are you?

I am here.

We are here.

We are breathing.

The thoughts come.

Notice what they are.

Are they rehashing old events?

Are you planning?

Are you frustrated?

Are you happy?

And we can go ahead and tag those with those labels and allow them to get filed away.

What does it feel like to breathe into your body?

Where are you?

You are here.

We are here.

And we are breathing.

On your next inhale,

Feel the breath fill every part of your body.

And feel the exhale remove anything that it is not cleansing.

Slowly flutter your eyes open.

Look around.

Where are you?

We are here.

We are breathing.

Thank you.
