Have you ever noticed how the sun always rises,
Even when we can't see it?
Some mornings feel bright and easy,
And others feel thick with clouds.
And on those days it can be tempting to shut down or even push through without pausing.
But there is a quiet power in sitting with ourselves and just letting this moment be what it is.
So for now,
Just land right where you are.
Let your body settle,
Let your breath be natural.
You don't have to feel any particular way to be here,
Just breathing in and out.
Even on the heavy days,
You are allowed to slow down,
To breathe,
To feel whatever you need to feel,
Without needing to fix it.
Just take a deep breath in and let it go.
Let's do it again,
Inhale and exhale.
There is nothing that you need to force right now.
The sun doesn't try to shine,
It just does.
And even when it's hidden,
It's still there,
Behind the clouds,
Waiting.
And maybe for you today feels light,
Maybe it doesn't,
But here you are,
And that my friend is enough.
So,
Just let your breath move gently,
Like sunlight peeking through the blinds.
Steady,
Soft,
Unrushed.
And you may notice thoughts passing through,
That's ok.
Thoughts are like clouds,
They come and they go.
As Pema Chodron reminds us,
You are the sky,
Everything else is just the weather.
You don't have to hold on to every cloud,
You don't have to chase every ray of light.
You just can be the sky,
Open,
Spacious,
Here all the time.
And if your mind drifts,
You can gently return to the breath.
Not to control it,
But just to witness it.
Witness this inhale,
This exhale,
This breath in,
This breath out.
That's all you've got to do.
You're not broken for feeling heavy,
You're not behind for needing rest,
You're simply human,
You're living through your weather,
One breath at a time.
And you can let that be enough for now.
Just noticing the rhythm of your breath,
The quiet support of the ground beneath you.
The simple fact that you are still here,
And hey,
That counts for something.
You don't have to shine today,
You just have to be.
So,
As we close,
See if you can take a moment to soften your face,
Unclench your jaw.
Just loosen those worry lines on your forehead,
Let your shoulders drop just a bit,
Maybe place a hand on your chest or your belly.
Feel the warmth,
Feel the presence.
And know this,
Like the sun behind the clouds,
Your light is never gone.
It's there.
It's just resting.
It's waiting to peek through again.
Let's just take one more deep breath in,
And a full breath out.
And as you move through the rest of your day,
Try to carry this reminder with you.
You are the sky.
And this moment,
Whatever it holds,
It's just the weather.
May you be happy,
May you be healthy,
And may you be at peace.
Thank you so much for joining me.
