Let's talk about letting go.

Sometimes we hold on so tightly,

Whether it's to an idea of how things should be,

Or a past hurt,

A mistake,

Or even just a version of ourselves that we've outgrown.

And even when we know that it's time to release it,

There's still resistance,

Because letting go can feel like losing control.

But what if letting go isn't about giving up?

What if instead it's about making space?

So,

As always,

Let's begin by pausing.

Take a breath with me now.

Inhale slowly,

And exhale gently,

Letting your shoulders soften,

Letting your jaw unclench,

Letting your hands rest.

And as you continue to breathe,

Just imagine setting down a heavy backpack.

Can you feel the ease that comes with no longer carrying what isn't serving you?

Letting go doesn't have to be dramatic.

It can be quiet,

Simple,

Even graceful.

You don't have to force anything.

Just allow yourself to release,

Even just a little.

And as you sit in that spaciousness,

Consider the quote from Jack Kornfield.

To let go does not mean to get rid of.

To let go means to let be.

When we let be with compassion,

Things come and go on their own.

So,

As you go about your day,

Just notice what you're holding on to,

And remind yourself that you don't have to carry it all.

Sometimes,

Peace begins with simply loosening your grip.
