Let's talk about imposter syndrome.
You know,
That nagging feeling that you don't belong,
That you're not as capable as others think you are,
And that sooner or later someone's going to find out.
Does that sound familiar?
Yeah,
It does for me too.
So if you're in that space right now,
Let's begin by pausing.
Take a slow,
Steady breath.
And let's take a moment together to just be,
Without judgment.
Breathing in,
And breathing out.
You know,
Imposter syndrome thrives in silence.
It grows in the space between our accomplishments and our ability to believe in them.
But here's something to consider.
The very fact that you care about doing well,
That you question yourself,
That you want to show up fully,
That's not fraudulence,
That's integrity.
So as you breathe,
Just gently remind yourself that you're not here by accident.
You put in the work.
You have earned your seat at the table,
Even if part of you still needs time to believe that.
Take another deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
Just imagine releasing the pressure to be perfect.
And maybe replace it with permission to be human.
And if you still have doubts,
Well,
You're in good company.
As Maya Angelou once admitted,
I have written 11 books,
But each time I think,
Uh-oh,
They're gonna find out now.
I've run a game on everybody,
And they're going to find me out.
So as you go about your day,
Just carry this reminder with you.
Even the most accomplished people feel what you're feeling.
It doesn't mean that you're a fraud.
It means that you're growing.
Thank you so much for joining me.
