Hello,

I'm Mick Murphy.

Welcome to this short guided meditation for deepening relaxation and dissolving stress.

This session will help you to calm the mind and let go of any tension in the body.

Simply follow the voice and notice your worries dissolve.

Deep peace and relaxation are the order of the day.

Peace of mind,

Body and spirit.

Om Shanti,

Shanti,

Shanti.

I invite you to sit with your spine straight or lie down if it feels more comfortable.

Just let in your eyes close gently.

Today I'm going to utilize the most natural resource we have for peace,

The breath.

The breath is our constant companion.

It sustains our life and supports us at all times.

When we slow and observe the motion of our breath,

This triggers a natural relaxation response in both mind and body.

So let's take some deep breaths in and exhale slowly.

Just deeply breathing in and exhaling slowly.

Feeling a sense of letting go,

Of tension leaving the body,

Of the mind dissolving active force with each breath.

Take a short moment to breathe in this way.

Now letting the breath return to its natural flow without attempting to influence it in any way.

Breathing normally,

Place your attention on the rising and falling of your belly as you breathe.

Getting a sense of your stomach lifting and falling.

Just following the natural rhythm of that flow without trying to alter anything.

Giving up thoughts to follow the flow of the breath in your body.

Take a short moment to breathe in this way.

Now focusing your attention on the breath entering and leaving through the nostrils.

Concentrating on the entrance and exit to your nose as the breath makes its natural passage.

You may notice how the breath is cooler going in and slightly warmer as it departs.

See if you can notice the sensation of the passing air entering and departing your nose.

Take a few moments to observe this flow.

And now visualizing a bright healing light all around you in the atmosphere.

At the front,

At the back,

Left and right,

Above and below.

Sense how this light holds and supports you at all times.

Know that this light heals,

Calms and restores you.

And now breathe in the bright light noticing how it removes all stress,

Negativity and tension from you.

With each inward breath you are purified and each outward breath removes all worry,

Pain and negativity.

With each passing of the breath you feel lighter,

Refreshed and totally at peace.

Take a few moments to breathe and absorb the bright healing light into your being.

And now returning your attention to the room you are in.

Wriggling your fingers and toes a little,

Getting a sense of the body's presence.

Take a few moments to savor your relaxation before continuing with your day.

This meditation is best repeated for the release of stress and anxiety.

Thank you for joining me.

Om Shanti.
