Good evening,

I understand you're experiencing waking too soon,

And this guided sleep meditation is designed to help you fall back to sleep easily and swiftly.

You're listening to Go Back to Sleep,

The Healing Forest Cabin.

If you find yourself struggling with broken sleep,

This meditation can help smooth away those interruptions and support a more restful sleep pattern.

If you find your sleep is often interrupted,

You may return to the sleep meditation whenever necessary.

The more you listen,

The easier it will become to calmly slip into the blissful and peaceful rest that you deserve.

Welcome to Michelle's Meditation Sanctuary.

I am Michelle,

And as my voice guides you back to sleep,

Consider me a nurturing guide and trusted ally.

My intention is to make you feel safe and as comfortable as possible.

My voice will only guide us to the most soothing and relaxing places.

I'll offer a few gentle and mindful suggestions as you settle back into sleep.

Feel free to tune in to these suggestions,

Or let them gently fade away.

You may focus on the sound of each word,

Or be lulled by the silent pauses between them.

Whatever feels natural to you is the best way for you to go.

There's no need to overthink this.

Your body intuitively knows what it needs.

There is no perfect way to relax.

There is simply the way that feels best for you in this moment.

You know yourself better than anyone.

My hope is that you will have forgotten this blip of wakefulness when you rise to start a new day.

Let's release any frustration or judgment about being awake.

It happens,

And it's perfectly alright.

You will find your way back to sleep very soon.

Gently let go of any worries or concerns about being awake.

You have ample time to rest tonight.

Banish any doubts.

As you return to sleep,

Your wonderful body will naturally make up for lost time.

All you need to do now is signal your body to soften,

To surrender,

And to drift deeper and deeper down.

Release any pressure you might be feeling.

You deserve only kindness and loving words right now.

Gently slow down any mental activity as your brain may have prematurely tried to start a new day.

Sense all the activities in your mind gradually returning to a state of quiet stillness.

One by one.

Everything can wait.

Now is your special time for restoration,

Where you may escape the concerns of the world for a while.

If your body needs a little adjustment,

Perhaps shifting your position,

Fluffing your pillows,

Or wrapping your arms around yourself in a comforting hug,

Do whatever feels most supportive.

Pay attention to how your body feels and to any places that may need to slow down and settle.

Like the conductor of a symphony,

You are the conductor of the energy that flows through you from head to toe.

Feel the slender wand in your hand as you set the tempo for the rest of the night,

Languid,

Graceful.

You guide every cell in your body to slow down and find harmony with the night.

Comfort yourself with the same tenderness and love you would offer someone you hold dearly in your heart.

The safer and more relaxed you become,

The more power your imagination has to conjure beautiful,

Soothing settings.

As the activity in your mind begins to quiet,

Guided by your gentle wand,

Your breathing responds by slowing and deepening.

Focus on your breath as you release everything with a sigh,

Clearing the air.

As you inhale,

You draw in the very stillness of a night in a healing forest.

Envision the quiet strength of ancient cedar trees,

The undisturbed surface of a moonlit lake,

And the deep soothing nocturnal shades.

As you exhale in a sigh,

Breathe out anything that doesn't serve this deep state of rest,

Sending it out into the peaceful night to dissipate like a gentle mist over the lake.

As you inhale and exhale,

Let every breath come when it feels right to you.

You need not follow my tempo or rhythm.

When you inhale deeply,

You sense the sweet,

Earthy perfume of the cedar trees mingling with the clean scent of the lakeside air.

This calming aroma transports you to the healing forest.

And when you exhale,

You release any tightness in your shoulders,

Any clenching in your jaw,

Any holding in your belly.

Allow your breath to become as soft and still as the picturesque forest,

A storybook setting that inspires peaceful dreams.

Let your breath fall into a natural,

Easy rhythm.

As you realize every breath brings you closer to the soft edges of slumber.

Each inhalation and exhalation brings you closer to its mellow,

Restorative embrace.

Now see yourself in a cozy,

Rustic log cabin,

Nestled deep within a forest abundant with white pine and cedar trees.

The air is slightly cool,

Though gentle on your skin.

A breeze carries across a glistening moonlit lake that ripples like silver satin sheets.

It whispers through the feathery canopy of conifers with a gentle hush,

Inviting you to welcome the dreamy feeling that the night offers in this healing forest.

You are resting atop a mattress perfectly designed for you.

The bed offers the right firmness and support,

Contouring around the curves of your body.

It's low to the ground and gives a sense of feeling grounded.

You are awake in the middle of the night,

But rather than chase sleep,

You decide to indulge in the quiet beauty of the forest at night.

There's a mystical feeling in the air.

As you explore an hour,

You may not often consciously experience.

Now this bed isn't just any bed,

It's been designed to move with ease.

With a push of a button,

A cabin wall silently and smoothly glides away,

Revealing a private balcony bathed in the soft silvery glow of the moon.

As if floating on a cloud,

You gracefully glide out into the night as the bed moves onto the balcony.

Your head sinks into a mountain of plush pillows as you gaze beyond the silhouette of evergreens to see the stars glittering overhead.

You listen to the gentle lapping of the lake in the distance,

Its silvery blue edges faintly visible between the ancient tree trunks that lead to a clearing.

You allow yourself to feel so content,

As content as the squirrels tucked in their hollows,

The robins in their nests,

And the rabbits sleeping below in their pine-needle-dusted burrows.

Every part of you aligns with the peaceful energy of the forest as you are gently drawn toward harmony with this magical night.

A gentle,

Easy smile graces your lips as your jaw relaxes.

Perhaps being awake isn't so bad after all,

When you are able to enjoy the night unfolding around you.

Deep waves of comfort flow through you with a soft breeze that brushes across your bedding.

Surrounded by layers of safety,

From the sturdy,

Protective lock walls of the cabin to the towering ancient trees around you,

You feel a bone-deep sense of safety.

You become as still as the trees,

Rooted with a tangible sense of being grounded in deep peace.

At the same time,

Your breath takes on the fluidity of the branches in motion that know when to surrender and to always be flexible.

You revel in this delicate balance of sturdiness and fluidity,

Of being grounded and feeling light and feathery.

Without a slow,

Gentle exhale,

Perhaps even a soft sigh,

And release anything you no longer need as you whisper to yourself,

Sleep comes easily.

This calming message flows through you in gentle waves of reassurance,

Traveling from the top of your head to the tips of your toes.

These waves move from your skin into your tissues,

Flowing through your muscles,

Your nerves,

And your bones.

Every single cell in your body receives a comforting message from the forest that it is perfectly okay to stand down.

You invite in the sleepy,

Dreamy sensation that deepens with each and every breath and every whispering breeze.

Sleep comes slowly and as easily as the gentle lapping of the lake waves,

As soft as the distant twinkle of the stars above,

As naturally as the opal moonlight bathing the forest in a hopeful promise,

Sigh again as every muscle becomes softer and your bones become heavy as they sink into the bed.

Softness is your natural state,

As soft as the rustle of the feathery boughs of pine,

As lightweight as the downy fluff that lines the robin's nest overhead,

As light as the sheets that wrap around you.

Your eyes are tired and heavy,

And the world takes on a dreamy haze as you peer up at the velvety expanse of the night sky,

Scattered with countless twinkling stars.

In this sleepy moment,

The stars seem to hold gentle messages,

And you may notice patterns forming as you trace the constellations with your gaze.

Slowly and peacefully,

These messages of tranquility become clearer.

You see the words,

Serene Night,

Softly shimmering in a constellation.

This becomes a fun,

Easy game as your eyes drift across the indigo sky,

Naturally gravitating toward messages that resonate in this quiet time.

Another phrase comes into view,

Sleep is your haven.

You inhale deeply and sigh,

Letting the message settle.

Your eyes slowly move to the west to read,

You Deserve Rest.

You notice as the words appear,

They are almost handwritten,

Graceful and elegant.

There's a sense of artistry and whimsy to them.

Another phrase begins to stand out,

Outlined in the softest,

Shimmering stardust.

You are always worthy of peace.

Each message is a loving,

Silent reminder from the vast universe,

Supporting you,

Guiding you,

Encouraging self-care,

And helping you to go back to sleep.

One more unique message appears.

This message is as helpful for your waking life as it is for your sleeping life.

And as you gently drift between these two worlds,

This message comes,

It's okay to let go.

You feel your eyelids flutter gently,

Becoming heavier as they close for a brief while.

You're almost there,

Gently welcoming the heady waves of sleepiness.

And sure of how much time passes,

Your heavy eyes open a bit,

And your attention drifts below.

In the woods surrounding the cabin,

Tiny fireflies blink with vibrant lime-green light,

Creating mesmerizing streaks in the darkness.

The peaceful chirping of crickets blends harmoniously with the subtle sounds of the lake,

Creating a natural symphony for sleep.

The cool,

Damp night air feels cleansing and pure with each inhalation,

Gently warming as it enters your nose before reaching your lungs.

You appreciate this experience from the comfort of your bed,

Fully supported as you rest beneath the stars,

Cradled in the comforting safety of the bed.

You deeply appreciate this cozy cocoon perched above the forest floor,

Positioned in a place where all the sentient beings in the forest find deep,

Restorative sleep.

Your body knows how to sleep just as naturally as all the other lifeforms in the forest know how to find rest.

The nocturnal shades of blue and green,

Softened by the kiss of moonlight,

Gently connect you with the beauty of this dreamy night.

They remind you how easily you can let go and surrender to rest.

A floating sensation comes,

Drifting on the waves of sleep that undulate like the ripples on the lake,

So very tired,

So very much at ease.

Sleep is one of the most natural and necessary responses to feeling tired.

It arrives gently when you feel safe,

Secure,

And tended to.

Your heart rate naturally slows down,

Your body welcoming the chance to go slower as you embrace each soothing sensation.

Your breath deepens effortlessly,

And once more,

You recall that you are the gentle conductor of your own peace,

Your breath.

And now,

The serene forest.

Appreciate this wonderful gift you possess,

The ability to transport yourself to any peaceful place you desire.

As you align with your breath,

Notice how each inhale and exhale gently adjusts the sails of your thoughts,

Guiding you deeper into a state of peace.

As you gently approach the edge of sleep,

Your body feels heavier,

And your eyelids close like the shutters on the peaceful cabin.

Gently turn your attention inward,

Connecting with the serene rhythm of your breath,

And perhaps begin to count each inhale and exhale.

With each count,

You become more sleepy and you feel the sweet,

Persistent tug of sleep.

It invites you to come along and return to the dreamscapes inspired by your imagination and these moments in the healing forest,

Drifting deeper and deeper into this peaceful,

Soothing night.

With each gentle exhale,

Just like the soft,

Fading glow of the fireflies as they dim and come to rest.

15.

Allow yourself to fully embrace the stillness of the forest,

Feeling a profound and peaceful connection to the natural world surrounding you.

The ancient cedar trees stand as silent,

Wise guardians,

Their calming presence gently filling the air.

The countless stars above seem to whisper that you are always welcome to seek their timeless wisdom,

Their gentle messages illuminating the night sky.

The vast and awe-inspiring universe gently reminds you of the infinite possibilities for deep rest.

When you inhale,

You gently draw in the complete tranquility of this lakeside night,

And with each soft exhale,

You gently release any remaining tension or connection to being awake.

Everything in this moment feels soft and gently soothing.

The rhythmic lapping of the silky lake water against the shore.

The whispers of the breeze gently caress your skin.

Your muscles and your joints now soften and relax completely,

The luminous glow of the night filtering through the pine needles creates a peaceful and calming ambience.

Your body moves with the gentle fluidity of a dream.

Your own wonderful mind is the architect of your dreams,

And with your permission,

You can now drift softly into sleep.

Gently let your mind know,

With the same loving care you offer to all the things you love,

That you are ready to sleep.

To float with effortless ease,

Weightless and completely free.

To explore the world of hope and restoration that naturally exists within you.

The bed gracefully slides back into the cabin,

Surrounded by the comforting aroma of sweet aged wood.

The glass wall closes and you are safe within the confines of this charming dwelling.

The lakeside breeze still circulates through the room,

Creating the perfect temperature for sleep.

Inhale softly as you drift,

And feel each breath nourish you with gentle love and care.

And with each soft exhalation,

You are guided closer to sleep.

The more you gently float on each breath,

The more deeply relaxed you become.

And this profound relaxation comes from a deep feeling of trust and complete safety.

Your trust in this moment is strong and unwavering,

As sturdy and reliable as the ancient trees that gently surround your peaceful cabin.

The stars above softly shimmer with promise,

As if to say,

We've got this,

We've got the night,

And you may give in to the deep rest you deserve.

This quiet night is a time for the gentle exploration of all the soothing and peaceful places that your wonderful imagination can create in your dreamscape.

As you gently float between the waking world and the world of dreams,

Allow yourself to conjure images that bring you the most profound sense of peace and comfort.

There is no need to push or long for sleep.

Simply trust that its gentle arrival will come as naturally and easily as the soft waves of the lake,

Gently lapping against the smooth rocks of the shore,

Guided by the pearly glow of the moon.

Gently surrender to the moonlight,

Perhaps even playing with the idea that you can be in many dreamy places all at once,

Safe and secure in the quiet sanctuary of the healing forest cabin,

Safe and secure in the room where you are,

Safe and secure in the dreamscapes that reveal themselves,

And as the breeze circulates through the cabin,

Your attention turns inward,

Following its peaceful caress as you softly scan your body,

Beginning at the soles of your feet and toes,

Tucked beneath the crisp yet soft cotton sheets,

The breeze tells them it's time to sleep,

Your ankles and calves slowly surrender to sleep,

The breeze continues with its whispering promise of slumber,

And your knees,

Your thighs,

And your hips gently let go and drift to sleep,

Your pelvis,

Your tailbone,

And your spine gently surrender to sleep,

Your belly softly rises and falls with each gentle breath,

Letting go into a peaceful sleep,

The breeze finds your ribs,

Your shoulders,

Your back,

Your upper arms,

Your elbows,

Your forearms,

And your wrists,

And it gently whispers them to sleep,

Your open palms and soft fingers are gently held open to receive the breeze's message that you are welcome to indulge in the comforts of sleep,

Your jaw,

The gentle muscles of your face,

Your lips,

Your eyes,

And your eyebrows softly give in to sleep,

Now even your ears and your scalp and the crown of your head gently drift into peaceful sleep,

Lulled by the promises of the breeze,

Your body feeling more deeply relaxed than perhaps it has in a long time is now a gentle conduit for your mind to follow,

To softly power down for deep healing sleep in the heart of the healing forest,

You find an ever-growing sense of ease as delicate as the needles of the cedar trees gently swaying in the night breeze,

As gentle as the ethereal rhythmic blinking of the fireflies,

As calm as the ripples on the lake,

You make gentle adjustments feeling completely in control of where your peaceful thoughts drift,

Gently enveloped in the darkness of the forest night,

You give in to the call of sleep as everything now becomes effortless,

Your gentle relaxation,

Your soft breathing,

The peaceful openness of your mind as you gently welcome deep healing sleep beneath the vast and tranquil expanse of the starry sky,

Your breath remains your gentle anchor as do these soft and sounding words that appear like soft light in the darkness of your eyelids,

They drift like soft moonlight shimmering on the lake's surface,

They reveal I am at peace,

I am ready for sleep,

Gently open yourself to this natural gift always available to you as you fully embrace the gift of sleep,

Gently letting go as the natural tides of sleep guide you to quietude,

Slipping away from my voice now,

Allowing yourself to drift into sleep and all the good things that await,

Finding bliss,

Finding softness,

Finding ease,

Finding sleep,

It's time to dream away

Thank you kindly Michelle for this ’back to sleep’ meditation! We went north to our cabin, & I thought perhaps being so tired having arrived after midnight to a stone cold bed that I could drop off quickly to sleep as my husband. No such luck! So I was pleased to see this new track from you. Of course I don’t recall much as I fell soundly asleep & didn’t wake until after 8am! Thank you kindly for this amazing meditation! Feeling rested & ready to start the cleanup from winter’s storms! πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—
