Let everything go as you feel the weight of the day shedding from your spirit and body.
As we begin this guided sleep meditation,
Feel yourself drifting into the delicate,
Airy space between wakefulness and slumber.
This beautiful bridge offers a soothing shift before you float into a deep,
Healing sleep.
It's okay,
You're okay.
So forgive this day,
Forgive any disruptive thoughts that stir in your mind as they are known to do.
And let the words of this meditation be your steady beacon of hope as you slip into a sanctuary of bone-deep peace and self-compassion.
It's okay,
You're okay.
You are safe,
You are protected,
And you deserve all the comfort and serenity this night can bring.
It's time to dream away.
Welcome to Michelle's Meditation Sanctuary.
I'm Michelle,
And tonight I am your keeper of peace,
Gently guiding you to a deepened sense of safety and comfort.
Allow my voice to reverberate through the night as the voice of a trusted friend and ally.
No judgment,
No concerns,
Just the consistent reassurance that it's going to be okay.
All the guards may now stand down.
Invite your nerve cells to take the night off and bathe in the soothing energy of your inner sanctuary.
One by one,
The lights of anxiety and overthinking may go off.
They've done their due diligence,
But are no longer needed,
Because it's okay,
You're okay,
And it's going to be okay.
Envision yourself approaching a moonlit levee that has held any doubts or worries in a reservoir of fear.
These thoughts have done their job,
But now you are free to release these spiraling disruptors of peace.
Feel the levees latch in your hand,
Cool and heavy,
Yet it lifts with ease.
And as the levee opens,
You let out a long,
Audible sigh.
Suddenly,
All your swirling concerns are beautiful from a distance.
They flow out into the sea,
Merging with something far greater and expansive than they could ever be.
No matter how big they have felt stored within you,
They now become so tiny,
Floating far,
Far away,
Absorbed by the ocean.
And as they clear,
You connect with the most resilient part of yourself,
Kept deep within.
It's the voice you hear sometimes,
The voice of your highest self.
It starts as a whisper,
Rising with confidence,
To let you know that it's okay,
You're okay,
And it's all going to be okay.
Inhale deeply,
Feeling the cool,
Fragrant air of the night arriving in your nose as a soothing balm.
It purifies you as your lungs expand,
And you take up all the space in the sanctuary you need and so very much deserve.
Perhaps your arms rest by your side,
Or maybe you wrap them around yourself in a hug.
You may even hug a pillow close.
Feel its gentle pressure on your diaphragm and belly,
Giving comfort to the muscles of your soul.
Let out another sigh,
And in this release,
Feel the support of the moment.
Everything conspires right now to let you feel that you are okay,
It's going to be okay.
The blankets embrace you,
Promising security.
Your pillows offer a soft,
Downy touch to your scalp,
Letting you know that you're safe to let go.
Feel the blankets as they weight you down into the constant support beneath you,
The support of a bed,
The support of your home,
The support of the earth.
And as you welcome in every gentle touch,
Every kind thought and word,
It becomes easier to feel okay,
To truly believe you're going to be okay.
Nothing stays the same forever,
There are chapters,
There are seasons.
You are resilient,
You have made it through so many pages of this life.
And now before you are the clean,
Blank,
Linen promises of pages that will be written.
This time shall pass,
And on the other side of it,
You will remember how right now,
Despite it all,
You still were able to feel okay.
Being okay means things don't have to be perfect for you to feel okay.
And being okay can feel like a softening,
An openness,
Where acceptance begins to find you.
You no longer fight what you cannot control and shift your inner sails toward what you can.
Effortlessly guide your attention to imagining peace,
And as you imagine it,
Comfort arrives and delicious waves,
For all you allow yourself to imagine right now and into the night,
Feels as real as real can be.
Being okay means using your own creativity to make peace with it all,
To start to transform your reality.
In this quiet,
Safe space,
You may already find you are choosing something softer,
You are welcoming every soft pulse of your heart,
Every easy sensation,
Every chance for surrender,
Every breath,
Every sigh supports you,
Every image that dances through your so very tired mind.
Every thought that you let escape when you opened the levy and released all tension and holding.
How you choose to be okay is your choice alone.
One size does not fit all.
Feel the freedom and sense of lightness that comes when this pressure evaporates like evening mist.
There's no test,
No rules,
Just the pure,
Liberating gift of choosing right now to be okay.
And maybe you don't have it all figured out.
What a wonderful thing it can be to realize that nobody has it figured out completely.
Maybe you don't know much about this adulting business.
It can be exhausting to even attempt to figure it all out.
You certainly need not worry or figure it out tonight.
You don't even need to completely figure it out tomorrow either.
In fact,
You may enjoy an entire lifetime and not figure it all out.
That was never really the point,
You know.
It's okay to just be okay without expectations,
Without judgment,
Simply floating in this endless starlit expanse of being okay.
Life,
As it unfolds,
Is a continuous series of lessons and education that you may learn from.
And if you don't learn the first time,
There are more chances to come.
Maybe you let yourself be a little more generous with yourself tonight.
Choosing to welcome growth as it comes.
Choosing to let go of chapters as they close.
There is plenty of time ahead.
There's no deadline for perfection or having all the answers.
There's what happens and your thoughts about it.
Worries are just the mind's way of solving things that don't need to be solved right now.
Because it's all okay.
You're okay.
A wave of radical acceptance rises and falls over you.
A protective shield,
A gentle wash.
It brings an invitation to every cell in your body to be okay.
It saves energy for things that nurture you.
No longer caught up in resistance.
Simply surrendering to being okay.
It does not mean you approve or even like the things that have been playing out.
But it means for right now,
You can let go of all the pondering that takes away from feeling good.
The times you ask,
Why me?
The times when you feel frozen or stuck.
You now realize you aren't.
Because being okay opens your heart and mind to possibilities not yet considered.
The author of your life.
You may change the story you tell yourself.
It may become a story of resilience.
A story of a flexible nervous system that adapts to life's changes.
With fluidity.
You may make the choice right now to feel good.
Beyond this beautiful,
Curated sanctuary that lives within you.
A quiet,
Healing place to go.
Whenever the world is just too much.
Whenever life is becoming too loud.
Here,
It is quiet.
Loving.
Comforting.
Safe.
In this special sanctuary,
You may simply be okay.
Supported.
Encouraged.
Celebrated for all you have overcome.
And all you are able to do with ease.
With each tender breath in and out.
You are always doing the best you can.
Given all that life has brought your way.
You are trying.
You are able to try again.
You are in control.
You are wise.
You have an inner compass that guides you.
Its directions are clearer and easier to understand.
In this time of being okay.
You trust yourself.
You are able to find stillness deep within.
You are able to forgive yourself.
Because it is all part of the human experience.
You are just being human.
Perfectly human.
And so is everyone else around you.
You're okay.
And it's all going to be okay.
Within the safety of your mind.
A mind that is a safe place for you to be right now.
You may go deeper and deeper within.
And imagine in this special sanctuary.
There's a private screening room where you settle into a plush lounge chair or a reclining movie seat.
Small candles flicker from the sconces hung on the dark velvety walls.
The space is so profoundly quiet and peaceful.
And as you settle into the chair.
Supported from the back of your head.
Down your neck and spine.
All the way to the soles of your feet.
And tips of your fingers.
A projection begins to play.
Words appear on the screen.
Perhaps filling the darkness.
Or appearing on a film.
Of your favorite nocturnal scenes in nature.
These mantras and messages appear one letter at a time.
Smoothly scrolling across the screen.
In a soft soothing glow.
You find yourself whispering them into the quiet.
As a gentle reclamation of your own peace.
I choose to let go.
I choose to release the weight of what I cannot change.
I choose to recognize what is in my control and to surrender what is not.
I choose to believe that I came to this life to learn.
I choose to honor me.
I choose to listen to my own intuition.
I choose to protect myself.
And honor that it's okay to step away and take a break to tend to my needs.
I choose empathy.
I choose to recognize my strength and embrace it.
I choose to be me.
I choose authenticity.
I choose to protect my inner light and let it shine.
I choose to accept where I am right now.
I choose to be brave.
I choose to acknowledge that everyone around me is also dealing with their own limitations and fears.
I choose to recognize my fear so that it no longer controls me.
I choose to be my own greatest ally.
I choose to honor my past by living fully in the present.
I choose to be okay.
I choose to feel okay.
Because it's okay.
I am okay.
And it's going to be okay.
A wave of radical acceptance rises and cascades over you.
A protective shield.
A gentle wash.
It brings an invitation to every cell in your body to be okay.
It saves energy for things that nurture you.
No longer caught up in resistance.
Simply surrendering to being okay.
It does not mean you approve or even like the things that have been bothering you.
But it means you can let go of all the distractions and interference with your soul intention to feel good right now.
To feel okay.
And as the last word fades from the cinema screen,
The theater around you begins to change.
The seat beneath you feels softer.
More like a cloud.
As you begin to feel weightless.
And the walls of the room begin to melt away into a vast indigo night.
The screen remains,
But it has become a wide open window.
Through it,
You see a path made of moonlight.
Winding through a forest of silver trees.
You watch yourself step onto that path.
It's the path to being okay.
Every heavy thought you've carried today is left behind at the edge of the tranquil woods.
And with every step you take on this moonlit path,
You feel lighter.
You see the reflection of stars in a still blue pool of water nearby.
And this is your inner silence.
Watch as the ripples on the glassy surface smooth out,
Becoming a perfect mirror.
You aren't trying to solve anything,
Or fix anything.
But with a clear mind,
You can simply observe the beauty.
Watching the light play on the water in countless silvery reflections.
You inhale and exhale before continuing.
You are moving now toward that bridge to sleep.
The one made of mist and starlight and hope.
As you approach it,
The edges of the world begin to soften and blur.
The crisp lines of the trees,
The path,
And the theater all start to soften and run together.
Everything is becoming fluid.
The deep blues and soft purples of the night are beginning to mix,
Losing their shape,
Turning into something gentle and formless.
And you may realize how much better it feels to just surrender.
Like a sea turtle riding the waves of a gentle,
Turquoise lagoon.
You,
Too,
May ride along and let go.
Recognizing what is in your grasp.
Your feelings,
Your thoughts,
Your choices.
You are very good at doing this.
You may be brave.
You may accept that your feelings matter.
That you are choosing to shine light on what can be healed.
On what can be appreciated.
Because you are doing fine.
It's okay.
You're okay.
And any voices that once brought doubt may now be silenced.
They never felt good anyway.
So why hold on to them?
Just as you would turn down a dial when the sounds of a song are just too much.
You may now turn down the dial and all thoughts.
As you surrender and drift toward the comforts of slumber.
And in this dreamy space,
Feel the warmth of the life you have lived.
The bonds you have formed.
The moments led by your intuition.
And this deep stillness in your inner sanctuary that has always been your true home.
And trust that this inner guide,
The part of you that has existed throughout every page and chapter of your life,
Is right here,
Holding you.
And like a watercolor painting left out in a gentle spring rain,
These thoughts,
Like soft,
Bleeding colors,
Now melt into your dreaming life.
And as you let my voice fade away,
Cross that special bridge now.
This is a sacred time where you may drift,
Surrender,
And float through the misty air in the most ethereal of transitions.
You don't need to count the steps,
You already know the way.
There is no effort here.
As you let go of your waking life and sink into the restorative night of sleep that you have earned and so rightfully deserve.
Surrendering.
Finding healing.
