What if you are exactly who you are meant to be?
What if you are exactly where you are meant to be right now in your life?
What you look like,
What you sound like,
Where you live,
The kind of relationship that you're in,
If you're codependent,
Anxiety filled,
Depressed,
Even a judger.
What if this is perfect for where you are right now in your life?
Can you accept this?
Acceptance will set you free,
And then,
And only then,
Change and transformation can begin.
We cannot change what we will not accept,
Or better said,
We cannot change until we accept.
Close your eyes and let us begin.
Settle into your comfortable spot and take some deep breaths,
Allowing your body to relax even more.
Let us take a journey.
What is the worst thing about you,
The thing that is most upsetting,
That you most hate or that you are filled with shame over?
Think about this now and let the awareness of this rise up.
What do you want to change most about your life?
Pick one thing.
Whatever this thing is that you want to change or that you hate or that you want to shame yourself over,
Whatever it is,
It is perfect.
I invite you to let it be there within you.
Even if you're filled with hate or shame,
It doesn't matter.
Let it be there now.
Think of something,
Your dysfunctions.
Just pick one,
The thing you most want to change,
The thing you're most embarrassed over,
The thing you most hate.
Let it be there and breathe.
Whatever this thing is,
Create a statement around it.
For example,
I am depressed,
I hate myself,
I have a drinking problem,
I am a loser,
My mother-in-law hates me,
My father is a narcissist,
Everyone hates me.
Create your statement now.
The worst thing about you,
The thing you want to change,
State it out loud now.
When you state it out loud,
What happens to your body?
Tune in now,
Say it again.
What happens to your breathing?
Does it shorten?
Does your body tighten or maybe nothing?
Say it again,
Your statement,
And let yourself sink deeper into your body.
What's happening to your body?
Deep inside of yourself now,
To where this statement exists,
Deep inside of you,
See it within you.
Now put a bubble of light around this statement,
Just the words,
Encapsulate it in a beautiful white light,
This statement,
This energy that you feel.
Notice this light just seeping inside of this bubble,
It's filling it up.
State your statement again out loud.
Is anything different now that there's light around this statement?
How does it make you feel?
Is there a new statement being formed now that there's light added to your original statement?
There may and there may not be,
Be open to it.
Now I want you to state your statement again,
And in front of the statement,
I'd like you to add the words,
I accept,
And then add your statement,
Or I accept that I am,
And then fill in your statement.
Say this a few times out loud,
Tune into your body again,
State your statement.
What's different now?
Is there a new statement that is emerging or being born from the original?
And you add the words,
I accept,
And you add light to it.
Is there anything different?
There might be,
And there might not be,
But be open to change.
Think again of your statement.
Say to yourself,
I accept this,
I accept this,
I fully accept this.
Whatever this is,
Fill in your statement.
Let yourself know that you fully accept this,
Your depression,
Your self-hatred,
Your shame,
Whatever it is,
Your smallness,
Your fears.
Let yourself know that it is who I am and part of me in this moment,
And I accept it fully.
It is who I am and part of me in this moment,
And I accept it fully.
You do not have to share this with anyone.
This is just for you.
This is a practice of integration.
We do not abandon any of our parts,
Our thoughts,
Or our beliefs,
No matter what they are,
Even the parts we hate,
Despise,
Or have shame from.
By owning and accepting these parts,
These self-statements,
It creates a transformation within and we are able to become healthy.
Do this now.
See the original statement in the bubble of light.
Is it still there?
In the light,
What happens to your statement?
Say it out loud again.
I accept this.
I accept all of me,
Including this,
This part of me.
This is your choice to accept or judge this part of you,
This belief,
This idea.
To accept is not to forget.
It is meant to integrate so you can become whole and healthy.
There is no one on this planet that has parts and beliefs and statements about themselves that they would prefer to abandon and cast away.
But this is not what we do to transform.
I invite you to be brave,
Own these parts as they will set you free.
This is part of your transformation to accept even the parts that you hate.
Just accepting this part and all of your parts,
All of your beliefs.
It is where you are in this moment and once you accept them,
They are free to transform.
