Coming into presence.
Coming into being.
Being with what is.
As it is.
Right here,
Right now.
Allowing the sounds in the environment to infuse your being.
Including the smells.
And maybe the residue of a taste in your mouth.
And becoming curious now about bodily sensations.
Wherever in your physicality they may be apparent.
Turning towards the tingling,
The pulsing,
The tightness and the lightness.
The heaviness of your body meeting the earth.
And the quality of the air meeting your skin.
Welcoming yourself into the space of practice.
With these words.
May I be strong.
May I have the power to accept and forgive.
May I live and die in peace.
May I be safe.
May I love and appreciate others boundlessly.
And now while continuing to stay open and present to the sensations inside the body.
Closing gently closing the eyes if they were open.
To visualize yourself being joined by others.
Welcoming into the circle of kindness.
Your family.
Your friends.
It may be useful.
To name them as they appear.
To ask them to join you.
Welcome.
Sit with me.
And as you settle and as they settle.
Bringing into your heart,
Mind,
Other people in your life.
Who may be very different to you.
But in your be that,
But they that they are in your environment in some way,
Co workers.
People you pass in traffic.
Who drive different cars.
Whom you perhaps encounter standing at the light or at the bus stop.
And those you with whom you spend time in supermarkets and.
Other spaces,
Parks.
Offices.
Ones with whom you have no relationship at all except for the fact that you live in the same city.
Or town.
Now you share the same country,
Some identity.
There is a connection.
Include them as best you can and wish them well.
May you be safe.
May you live long.
May you achieve what you want and deserve in life.
May you have the power to accept your anger and sadness.
May you be healthy and safe always.
Tuning into the sensations inside the body.
What is it like to be yourself?
What is it like to be you?
And practice kindness in this way.
And what might it be like now to include.
In your awareness,
Someone with whom.
You have a charged relationship,
A difficult.
Relationship.
Would you let that person approach?
Or approach them right now?
Who is that in your life?
And it may be more than one.
And if it's possible to be this open and this inclusive.
Then let it be part of the practice.
And if it's too much than to pick someone with whom there is some difficulty.
But that it's not overwhelming that it is possible to turn towards them.
And remain open.
And realize that they too may be suffering.
That they too may be faced with difficulties beyond their choosing.
That they may not be responsible for the way they are completely.
Staying connected to yourself in this practice.
And offering this person,
This individual or these people the same words.
May you too be safe.
And may you live long.
May you achieve what you want and deserve in life.
May you have the power to accept your anger and sadness.
May you be healthy and safe always.
And finally to honor this unique gesture of turning towards difficulty.
To honor yourself for these few rare moments and gifts.
To repeat to yourself.
May I be strong.
May I have the power to accept and forgive.
May I live and die in peace.
May I be safe.
May I love and appreciate others boundlessly.
Thank you.
