Balance is the stability found at the centre of acceptance. This guidance points towards the space of acceptance through honouring the body and the way the mind relates to present moment experience. Be where you are and as you are, balanced with curiosity and care.

Of the union into the whole existence.

That is myomin and my love.

I live in a time and something will come quite soon.

Pitch your fingers,

Now I even say this,

Settling into the body positions in a way that will be supportive of your practice this next while.

Noticing the balance between the feet,

The way they have landed on the floor.

And the way the hips balance on the cushion if you are seated.

And the way the back maintains its balance of flexion,

Of extension.

Its length and width.

And the head balanced on top.

Completing the gesture,

The gesture of balance,

The sense of acceptance,

Of stability found at the center of acceptance.

The acceptance of nowness of this moment,

Of this breath,

Of this being in the body.

The acceptance of whatever moves through the heart bind,

The emotional landscape,

The thoughts that the mind generates endlessly.

And simultaneously finding the stability of balancing that aspect of experience with the realness of touch,

The immediacy of sound.

And so we feel our body's breathing.

We allow sounds to arrive at our ears.

And while remaining curious,

We may even open our eyes if they have been closed to make room for the visual aspect of experience,

For light to filter in.

It may be helpful as a way of finding the center of stability of the gaze to let the eyes settle softly on a spot,

To let the eyelids be relaxed,

To let the corners of the eyes smile,

As a way of saying,

Yes,

I too can look,

But remain curious rather than judgmental,

To remain open,

To remain inclusive,

Inclusive and kind.

Riding the rhythm of the breath,

Tending to the possibility of the belly softening,

Of the attention resting in the space between the exhale and the inhale.

Turning towards the possibility of finding balance in the body,

Balancing the experience of now,

A non preferential balance,

Being with the ever evolving stability of change,

Here,

Here and now.
