At this time of great uncertainty,
Anxiety and stress,
My offering is what I call the three breath practice.
So when an opportunity arises to simply stop and be for a moment or two,
Or when circumstances dictate that you pause,
The process unfolds like this.
With the first breath,
We breathe in a sense of awareness.
So let's do that now.
Breathing in deeply,
Feeling the fullness of the breath and breathing out a sense of presence to whatever is around.
With the second breath,
We connect with our heart and our mind.
So breathing in again and breathing out,
Feeling the multitude of sensations inside the body,
Emotional states,
The state of the mind,
The play of the heart.
And with the third breath,
Turning towards an openness to experience,
Holding it in non-judgmental present moment awareness.
Right here,
Right now,
Breathing in and breathing out,
Landing deeply in the body.
