Om Bites,
Welcome.
Today's meditation is entitled Stuffing is for Turkeys.
Stuffing is for Turkeys.
So if you've been a person who has over the years of your life been stuffing your emotions,
Stuffing your expression,
Stuffing what's on your mind,
Then meditation is for you.
Meditation is the practice of unstuffing the mind,
The body,
And your emotional heart space.
No more suppression.
Trapping dis-ease,
Discomfort in the body,
In the cells.
We want to free the mind and the body,
Uniting more closely with your inner authenticity,
Allowing you to shine and glow.
So we'll meditate for the remainder of 10 minutes.
Find your comfortable seat.
And in this comfortable seat,
Let's emphasize comfort.
So your body is completely relaxed.
If you feel safe,
Close your eyes.
If you'd like to be more aware of your surroundings,
Leave the eyes open,
But drop them down,
Casting your gaze at something low and non-moving.
Now in this comfortable posture,
All is comfortable,
But the head remains lifted above,
The spine not resting on the back of a chair or the wall.
The head is upright.
Stuffing is for turkey,
So we drop into our meditation.
Just be in your body.
Like the uncomfortable,
Undizzying process of jumping off a merry-go-round,
We go through the process of acknowledging the tension,
Heaviness,
The trapped,
Tight,
Constricted sensations in the body.
Breathe into this knowing so that you may release and be free over and over and over again.
I'll sound the cymbal to begin and conclude.
So we won't go through years and years and years of therapy in this 10-minute meditation,
But we will meet ourselves where we are today in this moment and free the stress from the body.
Let the little bubbles ever vest out of your cells,
Witnessing the process and nothing more.
Feel the vibration in your body.
Notice where the vibration may not be reaching because you're clenching,
Resisting,
Squeezing out sensation.
Allow those channels to relax and receive.
Notice if the mind is running wildly.
This is gritty,
Raw,
And uncomfortable.
It's simply the process.
Scrubbing stress from making an imprint and holding you down.
Let it go.
And in this private,
Safe,
Quiet space,
Become honest,
Intimately honest with yourself.
Admitting where you may have been harmed and stuffed away your honest reaction to this harm,
Denying its impact.
I'm so tough,
I won't be harmed.
Admit the harm that it will not own you.
You become master of your inner environment and of course we know what that means.
Then we impact our external environment.
They go hand in hand.
Scan the body,
Where you are holding and get more and more comfortable and lazy here.
Cradling and mentally massaging the painful areas.
Relax your face,
Jaw,
Lips and tongue.
Eyes are heavy and soft.
And as we release the stuffing,
Compression,
The compaction,
The physicality will also feel expansion,
Lightness and ease.
Which will move into inspiration,
Creativity and vitality.
Where did you go?
Come into your experience.
Name it.
Find a name.
Tame so it doesn't own you.
Take a big belly breath in.
Up into your bones,
Release with ease and this is just one practice out of many,
Many,
Many to come.
The daily sloughing of historic residue.
Namaste.
