Welcome to a Breathwork session for accessing,
Understanding,
And healing your younger selves.
Reflecting on the past can help us construct a narrative of our lives,
One that explains how we became who we are right here and now.
This reflection and attention can also be an opportunity to befriend and heal the younger selves that still live within us.
These ages that seem far away until we catch a whiff of our child's crayons or we have an outsized reaction to something connected to a teenage wound and find ourselves thinking,
What just happened?
This breath session is going to access,
Deepen understanding,
And bring healing to all those past versions of you.
As we dive into this Breathwork session,
It can be helpful to bring a question or an intention to mind.
It might be a question like,
What part of my life keeps arising again and again and what healing do I want to bring to this version of me?
It might be,
What part of myself,
What age,
Am I ready to go back,
Retrieve,
Maybe bring closure to and heal?
It could be setting an intention like bringing comfort to your inner child,
Releasing pain that you no longer want to carry.
It could just be feeling love for your younger self.
So just consider your question or intention now.
Let's dive into the Breathwork.
So with this breath,
You're going to open your mouth slightly enough to take really nourishing inhales in and out of your mouth.
You want to close your eyes if it feels good and just begin connecting those breaths in and out of the mouth and you want them to be gentle,
Easy,
You're not forcing or holding and there are no pauses at the end of the inhale or the end of the exhale.
It's all connected.
Your breath is going to make a sound of aha and it will sound a little bit like this.
Now keeping your intention or question centered and going for the breath,
Really activating it.
There you go,
Connecting the aha breath.
And if your mind wanders,
Just gently guiding it back to your anchor,
Which is your breath.
In and out of the mouth,
Gentle,
Connected,
Staying within,
Just noticing what's arising.
Noticing what memories or ages are coming to the surface,
Trusting that whatever it is is here to be healed.
Feeling that breath reach to the top of your head,
Out to your fingertips,
The bottoms of your feet and really expanding your heart,
Remembering your intention.
Feeling this expansion within,
This place that you are accessing solely through the power of your breath.
Feeling your body releasing those old issues that still live in your tissues.
Noticing how every breath untangles,
Unravels,
Unencumbers.
As our session comes to a close,
Just considering all that came up for you today,
What ages were most present,
And really send that version of you some love right now.
Feel that power you have from this vantage point in this adult body to care for younger you.
Noticing all that you've been through and how nothing was wasted.
A few more really nourishing breaths,
Then releasing this open mouth breath and returning to your normal way of breathing.
Feeling this access that you just created,
A pathway to healing your younger self.
Bringing some movement,
Maybe rolling onto your side and squeezing into the fetal position,
Giving yourself some love right there.
Let this week contain all the ages we've ever been and all of those former selves are here and ready to be revisited,
Better understood,
And healed.
That's what you just did.
