Welcome fellow menopause sister.
I am so grateful you are here joining me for this 30 day meditation for menopause challenge.
My name is Melissa Hyde from the Menopause Reset and I'll be your guide during this challenge.
Meditation is an effective way for you to manage the physical and emotional challenges of menopause.
By promoting relaxation,
Reducing stress and anxiety,
And improving sleep and mood,
Meditation can help you feel more balanced and in control during this transitional time.
Today is day number 8.
Find a comfortable seated position where your spine is tall but relaxed.
Close your eyes.
Place your left hand on your stomach and your right hand on your heart.
Take a deep breath in through your nose.
And then exhale through your mouth,
Helping your entire body to relax.
As you continue to breathe,
Focus on your chest and stomach expanding as you inhale,
And then fall as you exhale.
The focus of today's meditation is on accepting help.
As you sit in stillness,
Take a moment to acknowledge the changes that are happening within your body and your life as you go through menopause.
It can be a time of uncertainty,
Discomfort and even pain.
But it can also be a time of growth,
Transformation and self-discovery.
As you breathe deeply,
Allow yourself to acknowledge that it's okay to ask for help during this time.
You don't have to suffer in silence or try to handle everything on your own.
You are not weak or incapable for needing assistance.
Think about the people in your life who care about you and are willing to support you through this transition.
Maybe it's your partner,
A close friend,
A family member or a health care provider.
Visualize their faces and feel their love and kindness surrounding you.
Allow yourself to open up to their help and support,
Even if it feels uncomfortable or vulnerable at first.
Remember that accepting help is not a sign of weakness,
But a sign of strength and courage.
I want you to focus on your breathing and imagine a sense of ease and relief washing over you as you release the burden of trying to do everything on your own.
Allow yourself to receive the love and support that is available to you,
Knowing that you deserve it.
As you come to the end of this meditation,
Remind yourself that it's okay to ask for help and that you are worthy of receiving it.
May you find comfort and peace as you navigate this transition with grace and self-compassion.
And now,
In your mind's eye,
I want you to picture your beautiful face.
And I want you to repeat each of these affirmations after me,
Out loud.
I am worthy of receiving help and support during this time of transition.
I allow myself to ask for and receive help when I need it.
Accepting help is a sign of strength and courage.
I am grateful for the people in my life who are willing to support me through menopause.
I release any shame or guilt I feel about needing help and instead embrace self-compassion.
It's okay to prioritize my own needs and well-being during this time.
I trust in the wisdom and guidance of health care providers and seek their support when necessary.
I am capable of navigating this transition with the help of those around me.
I let go of any expectations of having to do everything on my own and instead welcome assistance.
I am deserving of love and care and I allow myself to receive.
When you are ready,
Begin to wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.
Roll your shoulders back and down.
Slowly begin to blink your eyes open.
Congratulations on completing today's meditation.
