Welcome fellow menopause sister.
I am so grateful you are here joining me for this 30 day meditation for menopause challenge.
My name is Melissa Hyde from the Menopause Reset and I'll be your guide during this challenge.
Meditation is an effective way for you to manage the physical and emotional challenges of menopause.
By promoting relaxation,
Reducing stress and anxiety,
And improving sleep and mood,
Meditation can help you feel more balanced and in control during this transitional time.
Today is day number 17.
Find a comfortable seated position where your spine is tall but relaxed.
Close your eyes.
Place your left hand on your stomach and your right hand on your heart.
Take a deep breath in through your nose.
And then exhale through your mouth,
Helping your entire body to relax.
As you continue to breathe,
Focus on your chest and stomach expanding as you inhale and then fall as you exhale.
The focus for today's meditation is on building an attitude of gratitude.
Menopause can be a challenging time for many women,
Both physically and emotionally.
It can be a time of transition where one's body is going through changes that can be difficult to accept.
However,
It can also be a time of reflection and gratitude.
While some of these changes may be challenging,
Try to focus on the positive aspects.
For example,
Perhaps you are experiencing a renewed sense of freedom.
Or you are able to focus more on your personal growth and development.
Bring to mind people and experiences that you are grateful for.
Consider the support of friends and family,
Moments of joy and accomplishments,
And any positive changes that have come about during menopause.
As you focus on these people and experiences,
Allow yourself to feel a sense of gratitude and appreciation.
You may find that this feeling fills your heart and lifts your spirits.
I recommend incorporating a daily gratitude practice in your life.
This could involve writing down a few things that you are grateful for each day,
Or simply taking a few moments to reflect on what you are grateful for.
Whatever you focus on will expand.
Remember,
Cultivating gratitude is not always easy,
But it can be a powerful tool for improving your mental and emotional well-being during menopause.
By focusing on the positive aspects of this stage of life,
You may find that you are better able to navigate the challenges and embrace the opportunities that come your way.
And now,
In your mind's eye,
I want you to picture your beautiful face.
And I want you to repeat each of these affirmations after me,
Out loud.
I am grateful for the opportunity to have reached this stage in life,
As it is denied to many.
I am grateful for the wisdom that comes with age and experience,
And for the opportunity to embrace new challenges during menopause.
I am grateful for my body and its ability to navigate the changes of menopause with grace and resilience.
I am grateful for the support of my loved ones during this time of transition,
And for the strength and courage they give me.
I am grateful for the quiet moments of reflection and self-care that help me stay centered and balanced during menopause.
I am grateful for the abundance of resources available to me as I navigate the ups and downs of menopause.
I am grateful for the knowledge and expertise of the healthcare professionals that help me manage my menopause symptoms.
I am grateful for the opportunity to connect with other women who are going through menopause,
And for the camaraderie and support that comes with shared experiences.
I am grateful for the chance to redefine my priorities and goals during this time of life,
And for the freedom to explore new passions and new opportunities.
I am grateful for the perspective that menopause brings,
And for the reminder to live each day with intention,
Gratitude,
And joy.
When you are ready,
Begin to wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
And exhaling through your mouth.
Roll your shoulders back and down.
And slowly begin to blink your eyes open.
Congratulations on completing today's meditation.
