Welcome fellow menopause sister.
I am so grateful you are here joining me for this 30 day meditation for menopause challenge.
My name is Melissa Hyde from the Menopause Reset and I'll be your guide during this challenge.
Meditation is an effective way for you to manage the physical and emotional challenges of menopause.
By promoting relaxation,
Reducing stress and anxiety,
And improving sleep and mood,
Meditation can help you feel more balanced and in control during this transitional time.
Today is day number 5.
Find a comfortable seated position where your spine is tall but relaxed.
Close your eyes.
Place your left hand on your stomach and your right hand on your heart.
Take a deep breath in through your nose.
And then exhale through your mouth,
Helping your entire body to relax.
As you continue to breathe,
Focus on your chest and stomach expanding as you inhale and then fall as you exhale.
The focus of today's meditation is on forgiveness.
Menopause is a very important time to process difficult emotions and experiences,
Including the challenge of forgiving.
Our bodies are able to handle emotional trauma without any physical symptoms occurring up until the age of 50.
Once we turn the age of 50,
Emotions that have not been dealt with,
That have been buried alive,
May manifest as physical symptoms in our body.
And they impact our throat chakra and our heart chakra.
And this impacts organs like our heart,
Our lungs,
And our breasts.
So it is very important that we deal with these emotions that we have stuffed down over the years and begin to forgive.
Whether you need to forgive yourself or someone else,
It is very important that you do.
So visualize that first person in front of you that you wish to forgive and acknowledge the pain or hurt they caused you.
And repeat to yourself,
I forgive you and I release this pain.
Imagine a bright light surrounding you and the person,
Symbolizing forgiveness and healing.
Focus on your breath and allow yourself to feel any emotions that arise,
Whether it's sadness,
Anger,
Or relief.
Stay with this visualization for as long as you need.
And repeat this meditation for every person that you need to forgive.
And now in your mind's eye,
I want you to picture your beautiful face.
And I want you to repeat each of these affirmations after me,
Out loud.
I forgive myself for any mistakes I've made in the past and trust that I've learned from them.
I release any anger or resentment towards others and choose to let go of grudges.
I acknowledge my emotions and give myself permission to feel them fully without judgment.
I am capable of forgiving others and myself,
Even when it's difficult.
Forgiveness is a choice and I choose to prioritize my peace of mind and well-being over holding on to negative emotions.
I release the need to hold on to old hurts and trust that forgiveness will bring me freedom and healing.
Forgiveness doesn't mean forgetting,
But it does mean releasing the emotional hold that past events have on me.
I choose to focus on the present moment and create a positive future for myself,
Free from the burden of resentment and unforgiveness.
Forgiveness is an act of self-love and compassion,
And I am worthy of giving and receiving it.
I forgive myself and others,
Knowing that forgiveness is a process that takes time and patience.
I forgive myself and others,
Knowing that forgiveness is a process that takes time and patience.
When you are ready,
Begin to wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.
Roll your shoulders back and down.
Slowly begin to blink your eyes open.
Congratulations on completing today's meditation.
