Welcome fellow menopause sister.
I am so grateful you are here joining me for this 30 day meditation for menopause challenge.
My name is Melissa Hyde from the Menopause Reset and I'll be your guide during this challenge.
Meditation is an effective way for you to manage the physical and emotional challenges of menopause.
By promoting relaxation,
Reducing stress and anxiety,
And improving sleep and mood,
Meditation can help you feel more balanced and in control during this transitional time.
Today is day number 12.
Find a comfortable seated position where your spine is tall but relaxed.
Close your eyes.
Place your left hand on your stomach and your right hand on your heart.
Take a deep breath in through your nose.
And then exhale through your mouth,
Helping your entire body to relax.
As you continue to breathe,
Focus on your chest and stomach expanding as you inhale and then fall as you exhale.
The focus of today's meditation is on healing your inner child.
Menopause is a time of significant change,
Both physically and emotionally.
And it can bring up unresolved issues from the past,
Including those related to childhood experiences.
With your next exhale,
Allow yourself to become present in the moment.
In your mind's eye,
I want you to visualize yourself standing in front of a beautiful garden.
This garden represents your inner world,
Your emotions and your psyche.
Take a moment to observe the garden and notice the colors,
The textures and the scents.
As you walk through the garden,
You notice a small child playing in the corner.
This child represents your inner child,
The part of you that may have been neglected or wounded in the past.
Approach the child and take a moment to connect with her.
Greet her with kindness and love.
Ask the child how she's feeling and what she needs.
Listen to her answers with compassion and understanding.
Perhaps she needs comfort,
Reassurance or validation.
Whatever it is,
Offer her your support and guidance.
Look into the eyes of this child and tell her how proud you are of her for overcoming these traumatic events and how much you love her.
As you continue to connect with your inner child,
Feel a sense of love and compassion growing within you.
Visualize this love and compassion as a warm glowing light that surrounds you and the child.
Allow this light to envelop you both in a warm embrace.
Bring your attention back to your body and feel the love and compassion you have cultivated within yourself and carry it with you as you go about your day.
Remember that healing your inner child is a process and it may take time and effort,
But with patience and persistence,
You can bring about deep and lasting transformation in your life,
Especially during menopause.
Trust the process and know that you are capable of healing and growth.
And now in your mind's eye,
I want you to picture your beautiful face.
And I want you to repeat each of these affirmations after me out loud.
I am deserving of love and care,
Especially during this time of transition.
I am capable of healing and nurturing my inner child.
I release any old patterns or beliefs that no longer serve me.
I choose to embrace the changes that come with menopause with grace and self-compassion.
I honor my emotions and give myself permission to feel them fully.
I trust my intuition to guide me towards what I need for my healing.
I am grateful for my body and its ability to adapt and transform.
I am worthy of taking time for myself and prioritizing my self-care.
I am resilient and strong and I can overcome any challenges that come my way.
I forgive myself for any past hurts or mistakes and allow myself to move forward with love and kindness towards myself.
When you are ready,
Begin to wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.
Roll your shoulders back and down.
Slowly begin to blink your eyes open.
Congratulations on completing today's meditation.
