Let's begin by settling into a comfortable seated or lying down position.
Just begin to drop into your body.
That means you can close your eyes to shut down the awareness of space around you.
Begin to notice what your breath is doing.
Breathing in and breathing out effortlessly.
Then invite that breath to be a little bit more intentional.
Breathing in through the nose and then out through the nose.
Just long,
Steady,
Calm breaths.
Notice as your body calms down as the breath leaves.
And then noticing the sensations of your feet or your body that is touching the ground.
Allow yourself to draw energy from the stability of the earth.
Acknowledge any thoughts,
Any motions that come forward and then let them drift away like clouds in the sky,
Just watching them pass.
You can anchor back into that present moment by just gently refocusing on your breath.
Noticing as the breath comes in and then noticing as the breath leaves.
Feel the support of the earth that is holding you.
Your body will draw in energy with each inhale.
And then with every exhale releases tension,
Stress,
Or dis-ease within your body.
Allow yourself to settle even further into the earth by imagining that you have roots that extend from your body and they reach down deep into the earth,
Holding you there,
Keeping you strong and steady and stable.
As thoughts arise,
Let them flow along and then return your attention back to the sensations in your body.
Just allowing your body to soften and to relax as much as you possibly can.
Feel the weight of your body supported by the earth and bring your attention back to your breath,
Steady and calm,
In and out.
Feel the flow of your breath from the crown of your head all the way down to your spine,
All the way down and then back up again.
Just flowing freely,
Staying present,
Allowing yourself to feel grounded in your body,
In your energy,
And in your breath.
Take the deepest inhale and then release it with a sigh,
Slowly bringing your awareness to the space around you.
Begin to move gently and then allowing yourself to carry the sense of grounding with you as you continue on with your day.
Thank you for taking the time to meditate,
Slow down,
Be grounded and present with me.
Namaste.
