Self-love reset.

This is your reset to come back home to yourself and to self-love.
Get comfortable.
Sitting upright or laying down.
Place your hands in your lap.
Make sure you feel comfortable,
Safe,
And you can be undisturbed.
And when you're ready,
Close your eyes and relax your body.
For the next 10 or so minutes,
There is nowhere else you need to be.
Nothing else you need to do.
This time is for you.
Let's take in a really nice deep breath in through your nose.
Hold the breath at the top.
And slowly exhale.
Breathe in deeply again through your nose.
Hold at the top,
Through the nose.
This activates the parasympathetic nervous system,
Taking you out of fight or flight and bringing you back into rest.
And with each exhalation,
Imagine yourself softening and letting go.
Feel the weight of your body being held by the chair or the bed.
You don't have to hold yourself together right now.
And bring your awareness to the top of your head.
And soften any tension around your eyes,
Your jaw,
Your face.
Let your shoulders drop away from your ears.
Just a little more.
Just notice your chest.
And see if you can soften it even just 1% more.
If you notice any tightness or discomfort,
Simply breathe into that area and imagine sending it warmth and love.
Now gently bring one hand to your heart and the other to your body.
And feel the warmth of your own touch pouring from your hands into your body.
Noticing your chest rise and fall under your hands.
Bring a soft smile to your lips.
This changes the biochemistry in your cells and tells your body and your brain that you are safe.
Your heart has carried you through every season of your life so far.
Every high,
Every low.
Take a deep breath into your heart.
And slowly exhale.
Your aloud say to yourself,
I'm here for you.
And as you rest here,
Notice if there is a familiar voice inside your head that says,
You're not enough.
You don't need to push that voice away.
Just notice it.
Imagine this voice as a younger version of you doing her best to keep you safe.
See that younger version of you.
Notice how old he or she is.
What's the expression on her face?
She is trying to keep you safe.
Feeling your hand on your heart.
Say silently or aloud.
Thank you for trying to keep me safe.
I've got this now.
Nothing I do or don't do makes me more or less worthy.
I choose to treat myself with kindness and love today.
I matter.
My feelings,
My needs matter.
I release the pressure to be perfect.
Feel what it is like in your body to speak to yourself this way.
Notice any softening,
Any warmth,
Any sense of space inside.
Bring your mind to one simple way that you can show yourself love today.
Maybe it's saying no to something that is not a full body yes for you.
Maybe it's taking a moment to breathe before you respond.
Maybe it's putting your hand on your heart and reminding yourself that you are doing your best.
How can you show yourself love today?
Choose something and commit to gifting it to yourself today.
And now take a deep breath in through your nose.
Hold and exhale through your mouth,
Sighing it out on the exhalation.
Inhale again,
Hold at the top.
Exhale,
Sigh it out.
Let it all go.
One more time,
The biggest one you've done all day.
Breathe it in,
Up,
Hold.
Now placing your hands in your lap.
Remember that you can come back to this feeling,
This self-love reset anytime you need throughout the day.
Gently start to bring some movement back into your fingers and your toes.
Loving energy with you into the rest of your day.
