Morning gratitude meditation.
Take a comfortable seat sitting in a chair or cross-legged on the floor.
Make sure your lower back is supported,
Your body is comfortable and relaxed,
Your chin is slightly tucked in and your lips and eyes are softly closed.
Your palms can be in your lap or on your thighs.
Make sure your whole body is relaxed and comfortable.
Take in a big deep breath in through your nose,
Fill your belly and slowly exhale out through your nose.
Take in another big deep breath in through your nose,
Fill your belly,
Hold the breath at the top and slowly exhale out through your nose.
Take another big juicy deep breath in through your nose,
Suspend the breath at the top and slowly,
Ever so slowly,
Exhale out through your nose.
Continue to do long and deep in and exhalations.
The longer and deeper the better.
I want to remind you that thoughts are part of meditation.
If thoughts pop up just simply let them go and return to your breath.
There's no need to buy into the stories,
Just simply let it float away like a balloon and return to your breath.
Bring all of your attention to your breath.
Bring all of your attention to this moment right here.
Take in a big deep breath in through your nose and slowly exhale out through your nose.
Starting your day with a grateful full heart will send you out into the world with a positive light beaming around you.
What we think when we first wake up in the morning sets the tone for our entire day.
So if we wake up with a grateful heart that is how we will go out into the day.
Relaxing your whole body,
Letting go of all the worries and worries.
Relaxing your whole body,
Letting go of any tension.
Now I want you to think about one thing you are deeply grateful for right now.
Maybe it's the beautiful deep sleep you just had or your partner who was laying next to you or a roof over your head or the warm bed you just got to sleep in or the sunshine peeking through your blinds.
Whatever it is just hold that grateful feeling deep in your heart.
Now I want you to think about another thing you are deeply grateful for.
Maybe it's your children,
Your family,
Your parents,
Your soul sisters,
Abundance,
Access to beautiful organic food,
Freedom,
Choice,
Love,
Sunshine.
The birds outside your window,
The work you get to do in the world.
Your co-workers,
Your team,
Laughter,
Your friends,
Your family,
Your friends.
Your co-workers,
Your team,
Laughter,
Swimming in the ocean.
The beautiful roof over your head,
Warm clothes on your back,
The inspiring soulful read beside your bed,
Clean water,
Yoga,
Meditation,
Journaling,
Organic herbal tea,
Feeling sunshine on your skin,
Rainbows,
Your children's laugh,
Your family,
Your friends,
Your family,
Your family.
Food made with love,
Hugs,
Your job,
Being of service,
Reading to your children last night,
The raindrops falling on your roof,
Your animals,
Whatever it is.
Say it,
Feel it,
Mean it.
Feel that grateful heart bursting through you for all of those beautiful things and for the lessons,
For stumbling,
For falling down.
Come,
Be grateful for everything.
Be grateful for absolutely everything in your life.
Take in a big deep breath in through your nose and slowly exhale out through your nose.
Take in another big deep breath in through your nose and slowly exhale out through your nose.
Take in one more big deep breath in through your nose and slowly exhale out through your nose.
And when you're ready,
You can slowly crack open your eyes.
I want you to take out a pen and paper and write down as many things as you can that you are deeply grateful for.
The list can be as long or as short as possible but don't stop writing until there's nothing left.
Namaste.
