Hello,
Thank you for joining us today and I invite you to settle in wherever you are.
Hopefully it's a quieter place,
A little bit out of the way so that you don't receive distractions.
I invite you to bring your awareness to your breath,
If comfortable,
The inhalation in through the nose and the exhalation out through the mouth.
Following your breath,
I invite you now to drop into your heart,
Right into that heart center.
And now almost like an elevator,
I invite you to drop in a little bit deeper,
Like we're going down in.
And when I say the heart,
That means that space that is open to the divine truth within you,
To the truth that a part of you that knows how to do all of this,
How to do life,
Can be heard,
Can be accessed.
Thank you for being here.
Thank you for affording yourself this time.
And as we settle in,
I invite you to bring the awareness now to your head,
Almost like we're going to be scanning.
Bring your awareness to the top of your head.
We'll bring the scanning down over your forehead,
To your eyes and the bridge of the nose,
All the way around your head.
Scanning down the cheekbones,
The mid-cheeks,
Your upper lip,
The mandible,
The place where your jaw connects back toward the ears.
Just be aware.
Bring awareness.
We're scanning.
If you feel something,
See something,
Observe it,
Acknowledge it with a nod,
And keep being very present.
Continuing to scan completely around you,
Feeling the back of your head,
Where it's connecting to the cervical spine,
To your mouth,
More down to the jaw point.
Continue the scanning and awareness to the neck,
All around the front of the throat,
And the cervical spine.
This neck that so beautifully supports your head,
Just bring awareness.
And as you're sitting here,
You may notice that your spine is straight.
If it's not,
Allow it with yourself to straighten up,
Almost like you have a string or a thread,
That is going upward,
Out the crown chakra,
That's at the top of your head,
Almost lifting you up a little bit.
So we're stretching out the spine,
We're holding it straight,
And yet we're allowing ourselves to be relaxed.
Bringing the awareness back to the neck,
Bringing the awareness back to the neck area,
As it connects with our bodies,
The trunk,
The clavicle,
The shoulders.
Continuing the scanning downward,
Encompassing the chest area,
The arms,
And continuing down the ribcage,
The back,
Allowing the scan to pause a little bit around the waist.
So we're down at the center area,
And just allow the awareness to circle all around you,
Just allow the awareness to circle all around you,
The front,
Which is around your belly button,
Around that solar plexus chakra,
The third chakra,
Around the back,
Just bringing awareness.
Now continuing the scan down to the hips,
To your sits bones,
To your legs,
Continuing following the scan from your upper legs,
Extending over the thighs and quads to the knees,
Bringing in awareness,
Just noticing,
Allowing your scanning to continue on below the knees,
The calves,
The shins,
Bringing that down to the ankles,
Just pausing there for a moment,
Bringing the awareness in.
Now continuing the scan over the foot,
The upper foot,
The underneath foot,
The arches,
Heading toward the balls of your feet,
And then the toes,
And then just for a moment being present,
Right there.
You can go back and visit,
Did you notice anything?
Were there any spots,
Points,
Awarenesses?
Is your attention drawn to any place in your body?
You don't have to make sense of it.
Sometimes our inner knowing speaks to us in ways that aren't connected to story,
But as we open up,
As we settle in,
As we bring our awareness to ourselves and to our present,
We allow a deeper unfolding and understanding.
So with that,
I bring your awareness back to where we paused the scanning,
Right past the toes,
And I invite you to bring that scan as if you are literally sliding it under your feet,
And whether you have shoes,
Boots,
Socks,
Or bare feet,
Just bring it in as if your bare feet and the energy through them is right there.
And now in your mind's eye,
I invite you to take that energy from your feet,
From your whole being,
From the start at your feet,
And I invite you to extend it down into the earth.
And now if you're in a building,
If you're inside a structure,
No matter where you are,
The invitation is to extend that energy from your body down into the earth,
Allowing it to go deep,
Allowing it to stretch and extend deeper and deeper and deeper.
And once you feel you've gone deep enough,
Just pause,
Pause,
And in your mind's eye you may look around,
What is this deep earth holding?
And then you may bring yourself into that energy that you extended,
Because really it is a part of you.
What does this deep earth feel like?
And I invite you just to be here for a moment,
Bringing your awareness to your breath,
As this energy within the earth,
Bringing in the inhalation,
And bringing out the exhalation,
And bringing out the exhalation.
And just being aware,
Is your breath changing at all?
Do you feel a slowing down?
Is your inhalation getting a little bit bigger?
And is your exhalation,
Every once in a while,
Being a little bit more?
Whatever it is,
It's okay.
We're not looking to change it.
We're looking to bring our awareness completely to our own selves,
To shift a little bit,
And as you are imaginatively with your energy and within the earth,
I invite you to expand your awareness and feel the rhythm or the pulse of mother earth,
And allow yourself to be in that rhythm.
Mother earth.
And allow your breath to just connect with that,
To fall into sync with the cadence,
The rhythm of mother earth.
And you may feel a slight shift,
And what's happening is this brings us shift within our physical bodies.
It's almost like a resetting of the fight or flight,
Shifting the parasympathetic,
The sympathetic nervous system,
Just allowing to go back into that natural calm.
To go back into that natural calming state.
Because sometimes we don't even realize we pick up the busyness around us,
The chaos,
The frenetic energy that builds up the uncertainties,
And it shifts how our body reacts,
How our body holds.
And with that,
Bringing your awareness back,
Back as that energy deep in the earth.
Allowing your rhythm to be connected with that of the earth.
Follow another few cycles,
And then we'll be shifting.
And so now I invite you to bring your awareness back into your being.
And we are going to be traveling back up.
We're going to be still traveling back up,
And we're almost to the surface,
But let us take another pause.
Let us take a look at mother earth.
It's absolutely great.
Any energy that we slough off,
Anything that we discard,
The earth just takes it and figuratively composts it.
Discards what is no longer needed,
Transmutes it,
Turns it back into that original energy state.
So as you're here,
I invite you to take in a large inhale.
And I ask if there is anything that is coming forward or feeling like baggage that you don't want to carry,
Go ahead and release it in the next few exhales.
Giving it to the earth,
Releasing it from you.
It may be that through your week you've realized you're carrying stuff that's not even yours to carry.
Or it may be you've had some understandings and you're ready to just let go.
And then as we are here,
Not quite yet breaking through the surface,
Like seeds in springtime,
I invite you,
If there's anything that you want to draw up from the earth,
A recharging of energy,
An openness and a renewal to your own creation.
Allow yourself to figuratively draw it up through your energy roots.
And give yourself another cycle of breath.
And now I invite that we continue upward,
Breaking through the earth,
Coming back right up to our feet.
And this time we're going to be following our energy trail right up through our feet,
Into our heart,
Into our lungs,
Into our lungs,
Into our lungs,
Up through our feet,
The ankles,
Our legs,
Our knees,
Our upper legs,
To our hips,
Up our trunk,
Expanding and feeling that energy cycle and movement through our arms,
Up through our shoulders,
To our neck,
Up through our head.
And as we get to the top of the head,
I invite you to pause and just bring forward a little bit of a smile on your face,
And perhaps a nod of gratitude,
For already we are in a different place from where we started just a few minutes ago.
Just a few minutes ago.
And now I invite you back to that top of your head,
And we're going to be bringing imaginarily our energy up,
Out through the crown chakra,
All the way up in a column of light,
Continuing and flowing upward as far as we can go.
Allow it to be comfortable,
Clear,
And allow your light and your energy just expand a little bit of a column.
And if you bring your awareness momentarily to your physical body,
That you are above,
You may see that column expanding,
Getting bigger,
Filling out that whole body,
And maybe even going a little bit outside and expanding completely around so that your body's within that column.
Whatever it looks like,
Whatever it feels like,
All good.
All good.
And holding that higher vantage point,
And feeling that.
Allow your heart to expand and embody and embrace and hold everything.
And allow yourself to be with the breath,
The inhalation and through the nose,
And the exhalation.
And while we're paused here,
I invite you again to give a little nod,
Thank you,
Just for the expanded awareness.
Each of us will have our own experience,
But each of us will be experiencing.
So we give an acknowledgement of where we are.
And then I invite you back into that energy column,
Into your energy.
And give you the invitation to start coming back down towards your physical body and you're bringing your energy with it.
And you get to the top of your head,
And you go down right in through that crown chakra.
And you feel all of the energy body that you are within your physical body.
Again,
Give it a nod.
And at this point,
I invite you just to settle in,
Really take up that space,
Every part of you.
Bring the awareness of your heart,
Allow your shoulders to roll back a little bit.
And open that heart and realize how solid you are when you are in your center.
And I invite you to bring that expansion and this pause and just feel exactly where you are and how you feel.
And I would imagine you feel a little bit more expanded,
A little bit more in your center.
And I invite you to take in a large inhalation.
And if it follows with a large exhalation,
That's fine.
Just being present and feeling exactly where you are.
Take this in,
Remember it.
So that every time you re-enter the day,
Whether it's filled with shift,
Change,
Chaos,
Tough things,
Good things,
Bring this feeling forward,
For this is your center,
This is home.
Being with that part of you that knows how to do everything on your path.
So I invite you to really just come forward,
Be in your center.
And now we are going to bring the awareness back in to where your physical body is at this moment,
Sitting in,
Anchored and secure.
And allowing your eyes to still stay closed or soft,
Soft gaze.
Start bringing in the awareness of where you are and where you want to be.
Bring the awareness of what you feel around you,
Maybe the air on your skin,
Maybe the clothes on your body,
Maybe the seat that is supporting you,
The feet that are being connected with the floor,
The ground,
The earth.
And when you're ready,
I invite you to give a little nod and a thank you,
A gratitude.
This experience and for where the shift has brought you.
And remember that this is all you and you can take this with you and bring it out of you and forward in any time,
In any situation.
And so with this,
I invite you to take another cycle of breath and then bring yourself forward so that you may start the day.
