
Extending Yourself Your Own Grace During Challenging Times
When life is easy and going well, it is a lot easier to be kind towards ourselves. When life presents challenges and struggle, extending ourselves our own comfort and patience becomes a lot harder. In this short practice, we explore what it feels like to extend ourselves our own words of kindness and compassion during a challenging time. You'll be asked to visualise a challenging life experience and explore sending yourself the gentleness, kindness, and grace you perhaps weren't able to at the time. This practice is not recommended for anyone in a recent, acute stressful situation where the support of a trained and qualified mental health professional may be better suited.
