A gentle morning ritual for softer starts, even after difficult nights. Not every morning feels fresh or bright — and that’s okay. This short, grounding meditation is here for the harder mornings: when you wake up tired, overwhelmed, or simply not quite yourself. With breath, compassion, and presence, you'll be gently guided back to center — without pressure to fix or change. Begin your day with softness.

Hi,

I'm Meg.

I'm really glad you've chosen to join me here.

If you've woken up after a difficult night,

Or you're just not feeling your best this morning,

Know that you're not alone.

Whatever brought you here,

You've already taken a powerful step.

Just by showing up,

You've begun to create a shift.

This is a space for you to soften,

To reconnect with your breath.

Meet yourself with kindness,

Exactly as you are.

Whether it was a restless night,

An unsettled heart,

Or just a foggy start,

Now is a moment to pause,

To meet yourself gently.

Let's take a breath here together,

And a soft inhale,

And a slow,

Steady exhale.

Once more,

Breathe in,

And gently release.

There's no pressure to shift anything,

Just an invitation to be.

As you settle,

Begin to notice your breath.

No need to deepen it,

Just become aware of its rhythm,

The way it moves through you,

The way your body responds.

You might invite a bit more softness to the exhale,

Not forcing,

Just letting something loosen.

And as you breathe,

Feel the support beneath you,

The ground holding you,

The steadiness that's already here,

Even if everything inside feels uncertain.

Notice the places where your body touches the floor,

Your seat,

Your hands resting gently.

This is your anchor.

This is home.

Take a scan of your inner landscape.

How are you feeling right now?

Maybe there's tension,

Fatigue,

A weight you just can't quite name.

Whatever's here,

Let it be here.

Let yourself be held in this moment,

Without needing to fix anything.

If it feels right,

You might place a hand onto your heart,

And quietly offer this.

This too is okay.

This too can be here.

Even the messiness,

Even the not knowing,

All of it is welcome.

All of it is present.

Then gently ask yourself,

What's one small thing I can offer myself right now?

Maybe it's a longer breath,

A soft word,

A sip of water,

A moment to not rush.

Allow that to be enough.

You don't have to turn the whole day around.

You've already created space.

You've already shown up.

Take some time just to rest in this.

All of it is welcome.

This quiet space is yours.

Rest here as long as you need to.

Whenever you feel called,

Gently bring subtle movement back to your body.

Wiggle your fingers,

Wiggle your toes.

Take time to open your eyes or just lift your gaze.

And know that amongst the messiness,

This softness is with you.

You're allowed to begin again as many times as you need,

Over and over.

Thank you for being here.

Be gentle with yourself.

Thank you. Just what I needed after a restless night and being awakened too early
